Baking for a Cause, Buffalo Chicken Calzones!

Hows it rocking out there? We're ALREADY through Tuesday? How super sweet! I want to wish my friend Kristen a VERY Happy Birthday! She is one of the best group fitness instructors and has been so great to me since I moved to Charleston! Tonight I took her Body Attack class and sweated my butt off (hopefully...haha) ;)

Ok, so this afternoon, I baked up some Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies. My work is putting on a thanksgiving dinner for a boys home in Charleston tomorrow. I picked to make dessert and I thought hmmm what do young boys like? COOKIES! I will also be cooking/serving the dinner tomorrow night! I am excited!
For dinner tonight I made Buffalo Chicken Calzones and they were very yummy.

Ingredients:
2 cooked chicken breasts shredded (I boiled mine)
1/2 cup pizza sauce (or tomato sauce- whatever you have is just great!)
3 teaspoons hot sauce
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (I used part skim)
Pizza dough (either homemade or store bought!)
Small amount of olive oil

Directions:
Heat the oven up to 450. Mix chicken, pizza sauce, hot sauce, and moz cheese. Stretch out pizza dough, insert filling, wrap up calzone and pinch shut. Brush with just a bit of olive oil. Bake for 15 minutes.

I'm full! So are you guys making anything for your thanksgiving or just enjoying the eats?

Yum dinner!!

I'm probably going to have to do a little help in the kitchen this Thanksgiving, my little bro is having surgery and my mom won't be able to do much cooking. I don't mind though, I'm secretly looking forward to it! ;)

Buffalo chicken calzones...what a good idea. I love buffalo chicken wraps and salads, but I'd never thought of calzones. You're brilliant!

I'm making mashed potatoes and probably a salad, but my aunt is making the turkey and desserts. Thankfully, she's a yogi, so it's all healthy stuff. :)

Those cookies look so yummy. I wish I could make them but I'd eat them all and then feel sick and bloated!
Not joking.

My parents and my bro and sissie in law are coming to town next week (!!!!) so we're cooking a may-juh feast.

Did you say buffalo chicken calzone?? Buffalo chicken is one of my biggest weaknesses, and they to combine it with crusty bread -- so sinful! :)

What a great cause! You definitely can't go wrong with cookies that look that good :o)

CALZONES?! Holy yum - those look insanely good. I love buffalo chicken, too.

I will definitely contribute in some way at Thanksgiving, but hope that Papa Bender will be handling the majority since he is a much better chef!
