Back at it!

Phew! Christmas flew by! We had a wonderful time with Josh's family in Nashville! There were presents (tons and tons), great meals and lots of good times! I received some amazing and thoughtful gifts and can't wait to use them! I will feature some of the food friendly gifts on the blog in the coming days! Here are just a few of the highlights from our trip:

Christmas dinner- All I can say is YUM! Josh's mom is a great cook and makes very creative and delicious meals. For Christmas we had lobster tail, shrimp, steak, salad and tortellini covered in a balsamic vinegar, feta and sun dried tomato sauce. I took a picture of Josh's plate because it was a lot more interesting looking (and larger) than mine ;) :

One of the nights we were in Nashville, Josh's parents invited some of their friends over for dinner. Here is a pic of me, Josh and Josh's Mom prior to dinner. Josh's dad is hard at work in the background.
We also went out to an incredible dinner at a steakhouse in Nashville. Here are a few pics from dinner. Josh's Dad and Josh:

Hope you had a great weekend! We drove back today and it took 10 hours- bleh! I am running around trying to get things put together for the week. I promise a food post tomorrow and comments on all of your blogs! What was your favorite part of the holidays?

glad you had such a great holiday! i just got home from nashville a few weeks ago. hmm. my favorite part was hanging out with my niece and having her do my makeup. i don't know if my hot pink cheeks, or my blue eyeshadowed left eye and green eyeshadowed right eye would have suited everyone, but i loved them ;0

What a beautiful family you have! My favorite part of Christmas is playing board games. For some reason, we rarely play them during the year, but always do at Christmas while drinking wine. It's just wonderful. :)

Yay! My homegirl Erica is back! :o) I'm glad you had such a wonderful Christmas - I love all of the pictures! Josh's plate looks fantastic.

My favorite part of the holidays so far has been spending every day with my family and getting caught up on all of the little things that I put by the wayside when I get busy with school!

Great pictures! I can't believe you drove 10 hours. So much for folks not traveling this year! We drove about 3 hours down to Stamford, CT which was an easy drive.

The best part of Christmas for me was a gift my mom got for us. She didn't even know we'd had our eye on this zen alarm clock, but she saw it and knew I'd love it. I do! It was a sort of ESP brainwave thing between mom and me :-)
