I am not a HUGE chocolate person, but I love Reese’s peanut butter cups. There is something about the combination of chocolate and peanut butter that is just amazing- don’t you agree? One of our friends recently purchased a house and I wanted to make him a batch of housewarming cookies. I decided this would be the perfect time to try out Reese’s peanut butter chips that I’ve seen floating around blog world:
I used both peanut butter chips and chocolate chunks and mixed them into a batch of peanut butter cookie dough. I used this recipe as my base, but since I was using natural, no sugar added peanut butter, I added an additional 2 tablespoons of sugar to the dough:
mmmm! I hope he enjoys them!
Reese’s Brand and Warner Bros. are currently running an awesome contest:
“In conjunction with the highly anticipated Green Lantern movie, fans can pick up specially marked packages of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups for a chance to instantly win a ride for two in a fighter-style jet, just like Green Lantern Hal Jordan. For more information on the Reese’s “Jet-Fighter Experience” promotion, visit www.reeses.com/greenlantern.”
And now, a giveaway! Want to win a case of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (disclaimer: this prize will be provided for free by M Booth & Reese’s)?? Leave a comment on this post by Sunday, June 19 at noon sharing with me either:
1. How you eat a Reese’s
2. A link to your favorite cookie recipe
If you answer both questions, leave a separate comment for each (to increase your chances of winning!). You DO NOT need to have a blog to enter.
Chocolate and peanut butter = love. Kevin loves Reese's peanut butter cups!
Hope you are having a great week. :)
I love reese's peanut butter cups...anything with chocolate and peanut butter...such a great combo! I eat around and save the center for last (which is the best)!
My daughter loves them! The best cookies we make were like the peanut butter blossom cookies, but with reeses peanut butter cups instead of Hershey kisses.
