GRILLING!!!

Hope you all had a nice Wednesday. My Wednesday started out as it usually does- a mile and a half run and body pump! A busy work day was followed by taking my car into the shop and a few other errands. When I got back, Josh and I turned on our new Weber for the first time. Frank was super excited...he couldn't even stand still:

For dinner, we cooked up shrimp (marinated in olive oil, garlic, fresh lemon juice and shallots), artichokes tossed in a bit of olive oil and chili powder, my veggie mix (peppers, green beans, onion, white beans tossed in a little olive oil and chili powder), and pineapple:

Love our new baby!

Josh's dinner plate (including a grilled lemon):

And mine (I had another equal sized serving of cantaloupe after this):

FABULOUS dinner! And now we're off to take the Frankster for a walk :)
Do you guys have weekend plans already? I am going to a sort of exercise convention for the Les Mills programs. I am very excited :)

I love Frank!

There is nothing better than grilled food. Seriously. I always forget about my grill, but I need to start using it more.

Yes to the weekend plans. Saturday I am going on a 'pedal pub' with some friends in the afternoon. Then Sunday, we are celebrating Mike's dad's b-day. Should be a fun weekend :)

Ahhh look at Frank that cutie pie! Bbq looks fun I like the sounds of the white beans yum.

LOVE your grill! :D Dinner looks delicious...grilled foods taste amazing.

What is Les Mills?..

Nothing exciting happening this weekend- hanging out with family :)

Chef Jeena said...

Hi Erica, you could replace the mushrooms with diced zucchini if you like or just leave it out completely. If you use zucchini cook it with the onions and peppers.

The mushrooms don't change the flavour. Let me know if you cook it. :-)

Yum, there are few things in life better than fresh grilled shrimp:) I bet grilled pineapple tasted awesome as well.

This weekend my college's triathlon team begins practices, but other than that I will probably just study. I hope your exercise convention is a blast!

Frank!!!!
Love the shrimp. We had shrimp this past weekend at PF Changs and it was soooooo good. I want more.
You guys have to grill outside in the winter--it's so much fun. But then again you don't get much snow so it won't be much of a journey.

CaSaundraLeigh said...

Frank always makes me smile!! That's a nice grill--my mom would love it since she's the grill master of the fam :-) We have a pretty nice one too though!

Sounds like you'll have a fun weekend! I have papers to write, cleaning to do, and grocery shopping. Not that exciting, but needs to be done :-)

Krista said...

Isn't grilling the BEST? We BBQ in the winter, too!! Glad the 2 of you are enjoying it.

We're taking my sis out for a b-day dinner Friday and Sat will be DS's hockey. Other than that, we'll be chillin!
