Soup etc

Hi All! How is your weekend treating you? Mine is going great! Thank you for all of the compliments on Frank- he is an awesome dog! I feel so lucky to have him in my life! Onto today! I woke up early because I had to re-certify in CPR so I can continue to teach at the gym.
Afterwards, I ran to WFs for Chobani, bars, and this:

I finally purchased some almond milk! Yes, I got a sweetened version...I wasn't ready to jump all the way in ;). Do you all have suggestions on how I should try this? I am not a big milk fan so I don't want to try drinking it alone first. I was going to put it in coffee. Thoughts??
After WF's Josh and I ran to check out the house- it is looking fabulous! I came home and took a really long nap. I was exhausted and it felt fabulous. Next, Josh and I went to the gym and I spent an hour on the treadmill. I ran straight the first 30 minutes and then alternated running and walking for the last 30. I ended up at 5.5 miles.
For dinner tonight, I made Aggie's Little Turkey Meatball soup again. So yummy. I served with chunks of bread.
The rest of the night looks like mostly relaxing :) Tomorrow morning I am going to take Hot Yoga! I am so excited! I was inspired by Sammie, Heather, and Bridget and cannot wait to try it. Will report back tomorrow. Have a nice night!

I agree- I just bought the vanilla and have been using it in cereal! DELISH..it's not as thick as soymilk and the taste is subtle which I like..have fun at yogz!

There was a little boy in the preschool where I student taught that drank almond milk instead of regular milk, and I always had to get out of the fridge for him and i thought it looked sooo good. It made me curious to try it, so one day I did and it was really good! I like it on cereal too.

I have always wanted to try hot yoga, I will be really anxious to hear how it goes!

Almond milk + Cereal = Heaven! haha I'm just on a cereal rampage lately, someone call an intervention!

Agreed. Almond milk + Cereal is my favorite! But I use almond milk for anything really. Baking works great too... I don't drink milk myself, so I either use soy or almond milk in replace of whatever "needs milk". :)

I agree with all the almond milk suggestions thus far! We've also blended some with with frozen bananas and added some cinnamon and it was really good!

I understand, I can't say I love unsweetened by itself. We typically buy unsweetened and then add two packs of Truvia in it and shake it up ... it sure helps the taste, haha.

Yay hot yoga!!! I went again this morning, and still love it :) Bring a towel...or two :)

Haha, I have a carton of Almond milk I haven't opened in months since I bought it...maybe when you try yours I'll try mine!

(btw, i'm sorry you had such troubles commenting ;) ... i hate it when that happens, such a stupid little thing can be so frustrating! lol)

I haven't had vanilla almond milk yet, but I have had the unsweetened version. I heat up almond milk and add it to Puffins - it's really good! I'm not really a milk fan either :P

Glad the house looked good :)

Hot yoga sounds like a TON of fun! I heard it's a pretty intense workout so I am sure you will enjoy it!!

my sis jus had to learn CPR and i've heard it's changed quite a bit, more breaths or something i forget! Anyway i've never had almond milk but my mum hates rice milk so she only has it in coffee so it seems like a good way to go.
Oh i really wanna try bikram yoga it sounds amazing, let me know how it goes. Have a great time doll

I haven't tried Almond milk yet, but I hear it is great. I can't wait to see how you liked it.

I hope Hot Yoga went well. I tried it over Turkey Day when I was in the States and loved it. I felt so amazing afterward!

I plan to try to incorporate it on a regular basis when we move back later this year. I haven't been able to find it in Brazil, however, the gym has no AC and it gets to about 90 so technically I do it a lot here. Ha, ha!!

I would try some cereal or museli with the almond milk for sure. I do not drink milk either but love it on cereal. :-)

Hope you enjoy hot yoga! I just tried it for the first time last weekend and love it!

I've never had almond milk. Hope you like it! Yummy dinner!!!

Yay - CANNOT wait to hear how you like Hot Yoga. I'm leaving for my class here in a few minutes, but I think I ate too much for brekkie. I hope it digest a bit more as I am filling so full right now!

I love almond milk, but I usually just use it in protein smoothies, cereal or oats. I think I tried it in coffee a few times. It's okay, but I'm addicted to half and half. Nothing gets coffee as creamy.

Are you and Josh building a house? If so, that is so exciting! Quite a project I hear. Soup looks so warm and good. I need to make more soup with all these cold winter temps we are having.

Happy Sunday Erica.

Have fun relaxing tonight!

I'm not a huge milk fan either so I am interested to see how you enjoy the Almond Milk. :)

Aww, thanks for the compliment : )

Haha, yeah, the only problem with finding my lists at the bottom of my bags is that I forgot to do half the stuff! Oh well ... life goes on, right?

Hope you had a great weekend and that you have an even better Monday! : )

OH FRANK! AWWWHHHH!!!! I just caught up with your last six entries and I died! Fortunately it was relatively brief and I seem to have miraculously recovered!
I love that you said you're lucky to have Frank in your life. That's a subtle wording but really significant. Having animals is a privilege, you are so right!
Henry is meowing at the door. I tried trapping him in the bedroom but I guess he wants to cuddle with Robbie instead. :)
I love almond milk in cereal, oatmeal, and in baked goods. I hate milk too and almond is so different and delish. Oh! Tastes yummy with protein powder!

the meatball soup looks very GREEN. I might have to do a vegan variation of that!! maybe use kale instead of spinach? hmmm!
