Chobani Double Banana Chocolate Chip Bars

Happy weekend! How are you? I cannot believe the Super Bowl is this weekend. This week, I received an amazing package from Chobani. The package contained their new flavors, low-fat banana and non-fat pear, and two of their new Chobani bites (coffee with chocolate chips and fig with orange zest).

They also sent an awesome Chobani spoon (disclaimer: I received all products for free). We have already tried all four flavors. The banana is delicious! I expected it to taste sort of artificial (because I feel all banana flavored products seem to taste…fake), but it didn’t at all! It was more like eating a plain yogurt with a little banana mashed in. The pear is VERY yummy. Lots of pear chunks in there. The bites make a great, healthier dessert. The fig/orange is a really unique flavor combination. TONS of fig pieces. I haven’t tried the coffee chocolate yet, but Josh says its fantastic.

I decided I definitely wanted to bake with one of the new flavors. I choose the banana and made chewy double banana chocolate chip bars.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar (add 1/4 cup more of you like your bars on the sweeter side)
  • 1 container banana Chobani
  • 1 medium banana
  • 2 1/4 cups old fashion oats
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • desired quantity chocolate chips

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.

In the bowl of a stand mixer (or in a regular mixing bowl), smash the banana. Add the Chobani and brown sugar and mix until combined.

In a separate bowl, mix together the oats, flour, cinnamon and baking soda.

Add dry ingredients into wet and mix until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.

Line an 8x8 pan with a sheet of parchment paper. Put batter in pan and smooth out. Bake for ~30 minutes. Let cool completely, cut into bars.

I received some Chob too and I hope I didn't accidentally throw the spoon out with the packaging? Whoops if I did but I swear it wasn't in there. Lol And that's good to know about the banana - I haven't tried that one yet and was wondering how it would taste. The bars you made look incredible! Tons of chewy texture and nice and moist!

Those bars look absolutely amazing. I know exactly what you mean about the artificial banana flavor so I'm glad to hear that about the banana chobani!
