Day of ehhh food

Today was the first day of training. The class itself was pretty interesting (I'm in training for my day job), but the food today was very ehhh. I started the day with 2 dried pineapple slices and a grande skim misto. Around 10 my belly was rumbling and the breakfast they were offering was pretty much all pastries, so I went for a small snack size bag of pretzels instead. Lunch consisted of a vegi wrap and a banana. The wrap was pretty good.

After training, I ran back to my room to have a couple more dried pineapple slices and a blueberry kids z bar. I really enjoyed the blueberry bar! Kind of tasted like a much healthier nutrigrain bar!! The hotel gave us free passes to the gym next door. I headed over and did 20 minutes on the elliptical and then took Body Pump. Its always fun to take classes at a different gym with new instructors! A husband/wife team taught the class which was an interesting change. When class was done, I walked to Qudoba (sort of like a chipotle, baja fresh). I got a naked salad (not in a fried tortilla shell) with black beans, pinto beans, corn, onions, peppers, lettuce and a little cheese. The beans weren't fully cooked...so I only ate about 1/2 this.

I ate a brownie z bar and may have an apple. So thats my day in food in a nutshell :) Did you guys have a good day? Make anything good? I miss cooking and really miss Josh and Frank :(

Hey!
I'm a Civil Engineer, went to school for it at UNH. Its pretty good, but I can't say I love it though. I'd love to go to culinary school or something like that. Turbokick sounds awesome! Where is it offered around here (I'm in the Boston area too!)

I hate being away form my kitchen. I need to make my own food - I am way too picky to leave that to someone else. I hope you get better eats tomorrow. Good luck with the new Turbo round.

I hate when there's no healthy food, or at least a variety available, sorry you couldn't enjoy your meals to the fullest today because of it :(. Actually today was kind of an "eh" day for me too. Let's hope tomorrow is a better day for the both of us!

Ooh you know you nailed that blueberry ZBar comparison - it really is just like a healthier NutriGrain bar! Finally, the perfect way to describe it :o)

I'm glad training itself was good even though the food was just ehh - I hate when that happens. But I'm glad you had access to dried pineapple because that makes the entire day perfect, in my humble opinion!

I'm sure Josh and Frank miss you, too! I hope the rest of your week goes swimmingly.

Traveling is always fun, and work-related events are sometimes the worst for finding good food. It sounds like you made the most of it though! :)

Oy, I used to do BodyPump from time to time and WOW what a workout! It's definitely one of those 'sore for days' things for me!

Sorry about the so-so food! I'm amazed that you're staying away from the unhealthy food. That's tough!

It can be so hard to eat well when you're away from your own kitchen. Especially since you do spend so much time cooking. Hopefully the rest of the week will fly by!
