POMx Iced Coffee, Sunday

Hey All! Hope you had a nice weekend. Here is my Sunday:

My day started off early! Josh had to get up to draft his fantasy football team, so I put together a nice breakfast for him of peanut butter puffins and a side of a new product, POMx Iced Coffee. The wonderful people at POM sent me two of the new flavors to try, Café au Lait and Chocolate:

According to POMx, these products are, “Made with premium, all-natural ingredients, POMx Iced Coffee is a delicious blend of antioxidants, caffeine and rich coffee.” Josh tried the Chocolate (190 calories, 0 g fat, 10 g Protein):

Josh thought the iced coffee beverage was just ok. He liked that it was a little thicker than your usual iced coffee and enjoyed the gentle chocolate flavor. However, he was a little disappointed in the coffee flavor itself…he said it just tasted a bit off. I am excited to try the Café Au Lait and will let you know my thoughts.

After I gave Josh his breakfast, I headed out the door to Hot Yoga!!! I treated myself to an awesome 90 minute class- it was incredible. I took it at Blue Turtle Yoga which is inside Eco Fitness.

I ran to WFs after to pick up some 3 for $5 cantaloupes (what a great sale). I got home and ate some brunch. Then Josh and I headed to the pool for about 45 minutes (between his drafting sessions ;)).

I did lots of work around the house and walked through some new tracks for Body Attack next week. I also spent some time with these two cuties:

I took the Frankster for a walk, showered, then made myself some din din. Cantaloupe:

And baked jicama rounds with a side of salsa and white beans:

Now I’m trying to figure out what I want for dessert ;) Did everyone catch the new Top Chef?? What do you think?

As a die hard coffee fanatic, that's kind of sad that there isn't a coffee taste. Thanks for the review :)

What a steal on the 'loupe! I love your dinner - I need to try jicama asap!

Never thought of baking jicama, looks really good though! POM iced coffee sounds interesting. Your husband sounds just like my husband, planning the day around anything football related!

Sounds like you and I had similar relaxing Sundays. They are the best aren't they? :)

Toly is getting geared up for his drafts too. I try to leave the house for this because it's such a big deal for him. I don't want to "get in the way!" LoL

I'm getting ready to go get some dessert too! Hmmm, I'm feeling so fresh strwberries and whipped cream.

Enjoy the rest of your night love!

I will be interested in seeing how you like the other POMx coffee. I have heard about them, but have yet to find them in stores.

I love the new Top Chef, but what is with the huge influx of tats this year???

I've been so curious about that POM coffee... thanks for the review!

I'm glad you enjoyed Hot Yoga! It's such a good treat for your body... I always feel so great afterwards. My gym offers it (included) but it's such a trek from my house and the hours never work out, so sometimes I just splurge and pay the $15. Hmf.

ooooooooooooooooh.

I had no clue POM made iced coffee.

or, as we call it here, Iced Mommy Merlot.

Erica said...

Jenna- Hey! Yes, jicama is starchy like a potato but it also has a nice hint of sweetness! You can eat it raw (most people eat it raw actually vs. cooked)- its great on salads! Give it a try!

Erica said...

Miz- hahahha iced mommy merlot! I basically NEVER drink...so this is totally my merlot too!

POM iced coffee sounds delicious!

Is Jicama hard to cut? Kind of want to try it but not sure that my knives (or biceps) are up to the job...hehe.

Have a great Monday!

I totally agree with Josh's review, the coffee flavor was slightly off.

3 for 5 cantaloupes??? I'm totally jealous. I'm also super jealous of that gorgeous outdoor pool!

Good job on the hot yoga, I've heard it's incredibly challenging! I haven't caught up on Top Chef yet, because I've been too busy watching those Atlanta Housewives haha, but I plan on catching up ASAP!

I wouldn't be able to leave the house (ever!) with those two cuties sitting there like that!

Very cool POM product - I had no idea they had a "coffee" line! Can't wait to hear what you think about the second flavor! Happy Monday!
