Winner & Week

Hope your week is going well! I wanted to first share a few foodie pictures from the weekend. Josh and I had a coupon for a free sandwich at East Bay Deli, so we headed out there for dinner one night this weekend. I got the Veggie Crisp w/o cheese (Leaf lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sprouts, avocado, cucumbers, onions and pepper relish on toasted wheat bread) with a side of fruit and a pickle. The pepper relish was incredible:

Josh hit up the salad bar and made a mixture of spinach, cheese, sprouts, edamame, chickpeas, artichokes, hard boiled eggs and baby corn):
On Sunday morning, we did our new weekly tradition of attending brunch at Charleston's cafe:

Their coffee is delicious and I got my usual Granny Smith Apple Parfait.

Next up, thank you to everyone who entered my Wholesome Foods Bakery Giveaway!! The winner of the FoodBars (as determined by a random number generator) is Jenna! Please email your address to itzyskitchen at gmail dot com and I will get your prize to you!
How is your week looking? Mine shouldn't be too too busy. We have the Body Pump Launch this upcoming weekend and I am really looking forward to that! Workout/teaching schedule is as follows:
  • Monday: Ran to warm-up, taught Body Pump
  • Tuesday: Run if time (4ish miles) or Off
  • Wednesday: Run to warm-up, teach Body Pump
  • Thursday: Teach 45 minute Body Step, 45 minute Pump
  • Friday: Off
  • Saturday: Teach Body Step
  • Sunday: Body Pump Launch
I have to go to a dinner for Josh's work tonight so I have to miss my usual Body Attack class I teach (tear!). What are you looking forward to this week? Are you celebrating St. Patrick's Day? I plan to make a St. Patty's Day inspired meal tomorrow night (recipe to come).

Bummer that you'd missing the class :( Hope you have fun at the work dinner! I didn't even remember that it was St. Ps day until a couple days ago... I'll have to come up with a quick easy meal for tomorrow. Thanks for the recipe tip, I do love cornmeal pancakes!

I love avocados on sandwiches. Yum.

That is one slammin' sando! Nice choice!! Pepper relish sounds like a fun ingredient to have in it.

Sorry you have to miss your class tonight but what I'm more concerned with is the fact you'll miss LOST (I think?). It's okay, you, Julie, and I can have our own "Housewives" viewing party - haha! My St. Patty's Day celebrations include Green Day tonight at work and green eats tomorrow. Enjoy dinner tonight!

I have been reading your blog for a while now and never commented, but I wanted to tell you that I finally decided to try a Body Attack class after seeing you mention it so often. I have done it twice now and it was great. I needed to shake up my routine. Thanks for the inspiration.

Erica said...

Aw! Thank you for the note Allison! I'm so glad you like Attack- it is my favorite class. A new release should be coming out at your gym soon :) Hope you're having a great week.

YUM, I love big veggie-filled sandwiches like that! Sprouts are one of those ingredients that give such great texture and really bring them a step above the boring.

Week is looking... busy... but I'm going to stay on top of it! Have a great one :-)

Meeting some friends tomorrow for a b-day, then I'll just have to play it by ear! I LOVE St. Paddy's Day. :-)

I can't wait to see what you make for your SPD Meal!

Dining out in Charleston looks so fresh and delicious! I can't wait til the fresh food makes its way up north. St. Patty's day = classes and normal life. I will be wearing my green though!

This week I'm really looking forward to Fit Bloggin...coming up on Friday!!
Do you like Body Attack? That's one of the classes I haven't tried. I'd be curious to know what it's like!

Mmm I love that veggie sandwich! The pepper relish would definitely make me happy. And anything with avocado just tastes good.
I love that you and Josh go out to eat at such cute and fresh places! Good luck with the Josh's work dinner tonight! Have a happy Tuesday my dear!

Whoa, that veggie sandwich looks perfect! I wish there was a place near me that had good sandwiches like that. The closest thing we have is Panera bread. Enjoy your week!

The sandwich looks yummy! I'm not celebrating St. Patrick's Day, but I feel like I should at least eat something green that day!

wow, the veggie sandwich looks great! i've never had sprouts before, so maybe i should add them to my salads and sandwiches for a little difference in texture. my week is probably going to be busy and stressful as usual, but i'm managing (sort of) haha. i'm not celebrating st. patty's day, but i hope you enjoy yours! happy tuesday!

My plans are all over the place this week. I do get to meet up with some NYC girls this weekend for some foodie fun. That should be a blast!

Congrats to Jenna!

You KNOW I love that parfait!!!!!

No St Paddy's Day plans here- I find it funny how it's so much bigger in the US than it is in the UK (even, Ireland!) I was in NY one year and it was crazy. Fun crazy :)

I am looking forward to spending time in the gym this week and getting to know the place! If I can find a swimsuit, I'll give aqua aerobics a go. Or just hang out in the sauna :) Most of the classes are things I can't do (body pump *cries*) but there are a few that should be okay. can't wait!

So trying that parfait idea! I eat granny smiths almost every day. What a neat idea.
Hope you have a great week!

That sandwhich looks amazing! Yum! No celebrating St. Patricks day for me this year due to class tomorrow night. I guess it will help me avoid the temptation of green beer- ha!

Your sammich looks yummy! I love veggie sandwiches, I never miss the meat at all. Getting the protein in there can be difficult sometimes though, I used to not think of that but of course I do now.

I love your brunch tradition, and the granny smith parfait looks delish every time you post it. Have you ever tried making it at home?

We don't celebrate St. Patty's Day usually, it's been on a weekday and those are tough to do anything, we're usually both tired. My father-in-law's birthday is that day though, so we'll be sending him some birthday wishes.

Before my husband left for Haiti we were on a diner kick every Saturday morning. You made me miss that! In a good way :) I think I'm going to make some type of stew and fresh bread tomorrow for dinner! Will you drink green beer?

Enjoy your week! I love launch days:)
We don't have St. Patty's plans, maybe eat green food-as in salad:)

Have fun at your St. Patty's day dinner tomorrow!
I don't think I'll be doing too much celebrating. I work, then train, so I just might have a green beer afterward ;)
Have a great day, Erika!

I love sprouts on sandwiches! I need to make a veggie club-type sandwich for myself soon - I really miss those.

Even though I'm super Irish, I don't have any exciting St. Patty's plans this year. :(
