Wholesome Foods Bakery Gluten-Free Giveaway

Its the weeeeeeeeekend! I hope you're enjoying it so far. I got up this morning to teach Body Step, and was excited that it was warm enough to wear a sports skirt.

After class, I headed out for some food shopping and stopped at my new favorite coffee place, Joey Bag a Donuts. Their coffee is out of this world delicious...dare I say, better than Starbucks? The place also smells like sugar heaven! I haven't tried any of their pastries/donuts/bagels, but they look awesome:

Joey Bag a Donuts on Urbanspoon

The plan for the rest of the day includes learning the new Body Pump release, walking Frank, enjoying the weather and taxes (blah).

Recently, I received a free sample of Nuts & Seeds Crunch and FoodBars from the Wholesome Foods Bakery:
According to the website, the bakery is, "a gluten-free, all-natural and organic bakery. We offer a wide array of yummy home-made Sweet Breads, Yeast Breads, Muffins, Treats and convenient on the go FoodBars and Crunch. All of our products are made in the healthiest way possible; using healthy fats, unrefined sugars, and complex carbohydrates. Gluten-free, preservative free, and often dairy free, our goodies will please all of your family and friends!"

Although I do not have a gluten allergy, I have a lot of friends who do and they are always looking for tasty, gluten-free products. Josh and I dove into the Nuts & Seeds Crunch first:

Josh tried it mixed with another cereal and we both tried it mixed into some greek yogurt with fruit:
Its so tasty! Almost like a lighter granola. I will definitely be ordering more of this in the future!
Up next, the bars! The bars are slightly sweet and filling! They also have great nutritional stats (which you can find on the website). I think the description on the website says it best: "Wonderfully balanced combination of protein, fats, and fiber, Gluten-Free FoodBars will give you sustained energy. Complex carbohydrates will power you through, while the protein-fats-fiber combination will help to keep you satisfied and healthy. All-natural combinations of nuts, seeds, un-refined syrups and dried fruits make FoodBars the perfect snack."
Want to win your own 5 pack sample? To enter, leave a comment below telling me which flavor you're most excited to try (you DO NOT have to have a blog to enter!!). For an additional entry, tweet or buzz about this contest and leave me a second comment letting me know you did so. The contest will be open until Monday night, March 15 at 11:59 PM

If you want to place an order for your own Wholesome Foods goodies, they are offering all of you a 15% discount!! Just enter discount code 'ItzysKitchen15'.
What are you up to this weekend?

The packaging is adorable as Ik said. I'd go for the peanut butter ones for sure. I don't usually do protein or food bars, but these do look really good.

Long time, no read ... sorry about that. You look adorable standing in your beautiful kitchen! Congrats on your 2-year anniversary, too. So cool.

I'll share this on Twitter and Facebook. I've got a giveaway of educational materials (Dangerous Grains on gluten intolerance/celiac and its effects on everything, Smarten Up! effects on learning, and The Iron Edge on resolving anemia), but it's only open until tomorrow night.

Must visit more often ... shame on me. Have a great weekend! I'm catching up and doing the dreaded taxes. ;-)
