Birthday Part 2 & Wedding Weekend

Thank you all for the sweet, sweet birthday wishes! And I apologize for going MIA- we headed to Maryland for a wedding this weekend and are just getting back! I promise to catch up on all of your blogs & post more recipes this week :)

The rest of my birthday was fantastic. I got a sweet card from Frank:

birthday part 3 001 and the man took me out for dinner and dessert. Josh had wanted to take me to a fancier restaurant in Charleston, but I voted that cheap Mexican was much more my style ;). We tried a new to us restaurant, Rio Grande:

birthday part 3 002 I got the vegetable fajitas without tortillas:

Plus some add ins (I didn’t eat the beans as they’re usually not vegetarian friendly):

The restaurant was tasty and the service was quick! We will definitely be returning.

Afterwards we had some “cake” aka Fresh Berry. I got vanilla with blueberries, cherries and kiwi:

Josh got Fresh Berry Tart with pineapple, kiwis and cherries:

A fabulous night! We were up and out the door early Friday, bound for MD for a wedding. Our old roommate (Jordan) got married! I didn’t take many pictures as my camera was dying. The bride and groom (Gina’s dress was GORGEOUS):

They got married right on the water, it was beautiful!

Me & the man:

birthday part 3 011  It was so great to catch up with our friends from Maryland!!

Tonight, we have dinner plans with friends and are going to pick up the Frankster! Tomorrow, lots of catching up around the house and then a baseball game with Lindsay and Patrick (so excited!). What are you all up to?

I have stopped eating beans at Mexican rest. ever since I found that most of them have lard or bacon fat in them!!

Mexican has to be my favorite--I never eat the beans either though..just because I am not a fan! And I would rather have ice cream over cake anyday--two great minds think alike! :-)
