For tonight's din din, I made shrimpy salads. My husbands shrimpy salad is Asian inspired and in it I used these awesome and cheap bean sprouts I found in the produce section:
Aside from the sprouts, his salad contains spinach, broccoli, water chestnuts, snap peas, oranges, walnuts, and shrimp. When hes ready to eat it, he will top it with a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, and a little S&P:
My salad is Mexican inspired and contains romaine, broccoli slaw, broccoli, red bell peppers, shrimp, snap peas and shrimp. I am going to top mine with salsa:
On the side, I will probably have a few tortilla chips and Josh will probably go for a grilled cheese. This is a great, quick, easy dinner!
I'm am off to throw in some laundry and then I have to teach Body Attack. Hope you all have a fabulous night!

That salad looks really, really good. I love asian inspired dishes!
Beautiful salads! When I first saw this post and the pictures I thought, "Wow, she's eating dinner early!" but now I understand. :) Good idea with the prep!
You know what's good in a salad like that? If you want a little kick sprinkle some cayenne pepper on top before you add the salsa :)
By the way there's a new dog food commercial on here and it has an English bulldog. Every time I see it I'm always like, "FRANK!!"
That's a great idea to prep your dinners like that. Hope you have a great night!
Salad= yum! Especially with all of the heat we've been having.
and laundry is one of my favorite tasks - I love the smell of laundry detergent :-)
You're so caring. I like how you have different salads. It's cute!
So creative and so fast! I like the bean sprout addition. Looks great. Have fun teaching Body Attack tonight :)
The salads look so good- Now I'm hungry :) Another friend tried the sloppy Janes and loved them- your awesome recipe is spreading quickly! Hope you're having a great day!
Pre-prepping dinner is such a good idea, I should definitely start doing that!
Yum, you can never go wrong with shrimp! Here in NYC shrimp tends to be quite expensive so I don't get to have it very often. Yours looks absolutely delish:)
Scrumptious!
Oooo I've never seen sprouts in a bag like that! Asian markets are so full of such funky stuff.
I have been feeling lazy for the past couple days and not in the mood to cook dinner:) I better go find something to eat tonight. Lifted weights and I can tell my muscles are craving some protein. I always start shaking:) Have fun at your class!
That looks delish--you inspired me to try something new tonight, so I made tofu curry! It was awesome. Thanks for the cooking inspiration!
I love quick and easy dinners - these look great!
You are so productive by prepping dinner early. I love when I am able to do this. It's so nice to be able to come home and just throw dinner on the table in minutes.
Shrimpy salads look yummy. I love that you customize them. :)
Both so pretty! I love putting oranges in salads! Yum!
oh those bean sprouts look so delish! LOVE the mexi twist on yours :)
have a great night girl!
AH you're right, our dinners do look the same! Shrimp on salads is the best, don't you think? I could have used some bean sprouts, though!
I like how you made the Mexican for yourself and the Asian one for your husband!
Lovely dinner!
I was allergic to shrimp as a child. My doctor did say that allergies (especially food) change as we get older. I wish I had the courage to try them again!
those salads look spectacular! I love shrimp in any salad... or plain... or in pasta! I'm not picky!
i love your int'l house of shrimp salad
Both look grat! I love shrimp! How do you cook yours? I usually but it pre-cooked because I am pretty sure I'd eaither WAY over cook it, or give myself food poisoning (again, doh!)
I was craving sprouts, but my lame store wasn't selling fresh (or bagged). They referred me to the canned aisle. It was nastiness!
versatile, delicious and easy - love this idea!
Yay for shrimp! As soon as I saw shrimp in the title I knew it was destined to be a good post!
two fabulous salads! i think you've inspired my dinner... we shall see :)
Your salad is SO colourful! Hope body attack was fun!
YUM! This looks so good!
Mexican salad = best salad, but of course I expect nothing less from a lady like yourself. ;)
Anything with shrimp HAS to be delicious! Looks great!
I love basic recipes that can be easily morphed into two different meals! The shrimp salads look yummy.
Pre-prepping din-din is a great idea and makes things so much easier!
