Anniversary Crab Cakes & More Pie

As planned, the rest of my Sunday has been very relaxing :). I finished up my work and then read some Twilight. For dinner, I made up a half batch of these crab cakes with a side of squash and red plum. I actually cooked the crab cakes without any oil or butter and they turned out just as yummy. Josh's plate:

This was sort of our anniversary dinner (as I mentioned before, Josh will be on work travel for our real anniversary on Tuesday). To finish it all off, Josh had another slice of his key lime pie bars:
I'm so happy that hes loving these! Hes already had three and I'm hoping he has a fourth before he leaves tomorrow (that way I will only have to freeze 2 large bars)!!

Tonight I will be watching the Next Food Network Star finale and Kendra. I'm going to DVR Entourage and will catch up on it tomorrow. Do you have any Sunday night rituals?

Sunday we usually have a family dinner and then lounge out at home. Those bars still sound delicious!

Those look delish!! I am glad Josh digs the Key Lime bars. I will be spending my night watching the FNS finale as well! And Kendra, if I can stay up that late!

Yum, those crab cakes look delicious! I've always wanted to make crab cakes, but they seem so intimidating to make haha. I'm glad you had a nice anniversary dinner!

I like having quiet Sunday nights at home that usually involve watching 60 minutes and relaxing. Tonight though I must actually be productive and get some work done! Have a nice night:)

I haven't watched any previous episodes of Kendra, but I'm watching tonight too for the wedding :)

It's not any kind of formal ritual, but I usually make a more time intensive dinner on Sundays. We often catch Andy Rooney on 60 Minutes and giggle.

I'm excited for the Kendra finale too! Sundays are my favorite for preparing for the week and then relaxing at night.

Happy (soon-to-be) anniversary! I LOVE crabcakes... great for a festive dinner.

Sunday night Ari and I usually try to spend together, with dinner and a movie.

I kind of hate sundays - where did the weekend go?! But I try to get myself in a good mental mood for the week ahead and plan what needs planning. It's a good time to take stock I guess...
Those bars look SO GOOD. You know, if he doesn't eat #4 I can always give you my address...

Crab cakes are one of my favorite things. I think there is something "romantic" about this dinner. I've made crabcakes a few times for speical dinner for Toly and I. It's rather indulgent and so delicious.

Happy Anniversary sweetheart! I hope you two enjoyed a wonderful evening together. Lots of love and best wishes to you both.

Just watched Next Food Network Star..what did ya think? I would have been happy with either one winning.

Those bars look so yummy--what self control you have! I would have devoured them :)

I like Barney Butter! I like nuttiness too though and since I didn't have JIF and Skippy growing up (I'm allergic to pb) it doesn't bring me back to my childhood days :) It reminds me of soynut butter...have you had that?

All in all it changes up things...and seeing as how I eat ab everyday, that's a good thing!!

Oooh...crab cakes! I love!

No Sunday rituals for us. We eat dinner and then go to bed - like every other night. I think that'll change when we have kids some day.
