Coastal Cupboard- Southern Brunch Cooking Class

Sunday was a fun day! Kay rocked her Eagles cheerleading outfit for the first time (although it didn’t help the Eagles much…)

My Mom and I also took our second cooking class at Coastal Cupboard. The first class we took was a risotto class. This class had a Southern Brunch theme. The menu included a Green Tomato Bisque:

Biscuits & gravy and a Krispy Kreme bread pudding (no, I am not kidding ;)).  Coastal Cupboard has the most beautiful class area:

They served cucumber water and mimosas during the class:

I was hoping for coffee…but no love!

The chef who instructed the class was fantastic. He was easy to follow and totally personable.

Finished products: biscuits & gravy and green tomato bisque:

The bisque was totally amazing! I don’t enjoy sausage, so I brought the biscuits and gravy home for the man. My Mom said it was yummy. The Krispy Kreme bread pudding was (surprise, surprise) very sweet! All of these dishes are great indulgent treats!

I’m hoping to take another class at Costal Cupboard again soon. To see their schedule go here.

Oh my word that all looks amazing! And I have some green tomatoes that I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with them. Problem solved.

Can we just talk about how stinking cute Kay is? Seriously, I can't think about anything else other than that adorable little princess. :)

What a fun idea to take the class with your mom! I thin the next time mine visits I'll have to search on out. :) p.s. I swear Kay gets cuter by the day, I don't know how that's even possible!

Baby K is the cutest cheerleader!! Love it. My sister and I have done cooking classes in the past - so fun. I've actually never even heard of green tomato bisque, but it looks amazing! And if you are wondering, the krispy kreme donut bread pudding is definitely insulin worthy in my book!

I am glad to hear this! I started reading your blog a few months ago. I live in Summerville and have been looking at the CC classes. They seem more reasonable (at least lately) than Charleston Cooks downtown.

Oh my gosh, how cute is Kay?! I've never seen a cheerleading outfit on a little babu before! She is so precious! Krispy Kreme bread pudding?! Heaven. I remember my first experience with those donuts. My boss purchased a dozen and I ate 6. LOL!

I LOVE stuff like this! And any class that teaches you how to make a bread pudding out of Crispy Kremes is alright with me. :-)
