E: Family & Food Filled Weekend

It has been a busy family & food filled weekend at our house! Josh’s parents, sister & her boyfriend were in town visiting this weekend. They were on the hunt for a house for Josh’s parents and found some great spots.  Aside from house hunting, we relaxed and ate a few delicious meals out. First up, one of our favorite Charleston spots, Grill 225.  Josh’s Dad & Josh:

Jenny & her boyfriend Mike:

We asked the waiter to surprise us with a dessert and he brought out Josh’s Dad’s favorite….lava cake:

The meal was fantastic! Josh and I are actually returning on Friday for restaurant week. I can’t wait!

Sunday morning, we hit up my second favorite brunch spot in Charleston, Sea Biscuit Cafe:

Me & Josh’s Mom. It was colddd on the porch so I stayed all bundled up:

I got coffee, an English muffin with peach jelly and a fruit plate. Their fruit plates are always delicious:

The rest of the day will be spent on football & more house hunting. Josh’s Eagles are playing…fingers crossed that they win. How was your weekend??

Sounds like a great weekend!

My weekend was pretty low-key, but enjoyable all the same :) Also celebrated my parents' anniversary yesterday!

Good luck on the house hunting. I know that can be really stressful. ;)

This weekend is going well. I've gotten some relaxing in, gotten some stuff done, went to a little party last night, and actually found some really interesting women to talk to that I hadn't met before. Since moving back to the states, this was the first time for this! So, it is all good! Time to be productive!

I miss Charleston! I have not been to either one of those restaurants! Are you supposed to get snow/ice in Charleston? We're about to get some nastiness on my end of the state.

Food looks great, and it looks like you had a great weekend with your fam!

I thought I'd spend all weekend working, but I got sidetracked by going out with a friend!

Good luck on the house hunt! I know it can be exhausting, but also a lot of fun to imagine a life in all the different houses you find.

There aren't many things better than family & food filled weekends in my book. :)

My weekend was pretty lowkey, but very busy still. Not looking forward to Monday morning - they're the worst. :)

I was hoping your weekend would be great with the fam! I always like going out when I have guests in town--there are a few good spots that really showcase our areas specialties. I like cooking in too though sometimes!

Mmm.....that fruit looks perfect! I SO miss delicious fresh fruit in the winter time. :-(

It looks like you guys all had a great weekend together! Love family time. I went shopping yesterday with my sis and we got to hang out for awhile, which helped cheer me up after the Colts game Saturday. :-)

That fruit plate does look delicious! What fun times with the family. I always loved house hunting.

My weekend seemed like it flew by. After my long run on Saturday I was pretty tuckered out so we just played games with my parents then spent some time playing card games with our best friends the next night. Low key and fun :)
