E: Cornmeal Pancakes

Hope your Monday is off to a good start! I just wanted to drop in to tell you a few things:

1. Again, thank you all so much for your sweet words on my pregnancy update.

2. Josh had his friend Jeremy over for dinner last night and I made up Heather’s incredible cornmeal pancakes.  Since I didn’t have any cake flour on hand, I placed 2 tablespoons corn starch in the bottom of a 1 cup measuring dish and then filled the rest with all purpose flour. Otherwise, I completely followed her recipe. I topped the pancakes with bananas, blackberries, and syrup. So good!

3. Have you guys tried any of the new Chobani flavors? We have tried the black cherry and the kids honey-nana and are VERY impressed. A full review of the new Chobani flavors will be coming to Itzy’s Kitchen soon.

Enjoy your week! Any exciting plans?

Great idea to use cornmeal in the pancakes! I bet it gave them such an added boost of flavor!

I can't wait for my new Chobani flavors to come. They should be here this week!

Glad you had a good weekend.

Mmm I am craving pancakes now! But come to think of it, I am always in the mood for breakfast foods! I do the same cornstarch/ap flour substitute too when I am out of cake flour. Have a fabulous week!

I know those Chobanis are for kids, but I wish they were bigger! I won them once in a giveaway like a year ago.

I'm a bit late to the party, but THANK YOU for sharing your pregnancy progress with us! You are a gorgeous mama (Yes I can call you a mama already because technically you are!).

I'm working on a recipe for cornmeal pancakes right now, since cornbread and pancakes are two of my faves. Yours looks delectable.

I am very anxious this week as I am taking a hypnosis class for weight loss. I am not sure what to expect. My mom quit smoking with hypnosis, so fingers crossed!
