Cook Book Giveaway, Randomness

Hi All! Hope you're having a great weekend! Mine has been wonderful. Here is what I have done/plan to do:

Friday- Taught Body Attack, made Ellie Krieger's Creamy Corn and Vegetable Soup (Yum!), made Blondie's for the other Body Step instructors
Saturday- Body Step launch!, food shopping, work around the house, out to dinner with friends
Sunday- BEACH!

I have gotten a few requests for some Franky pictures, so here they are:

Here are a couple pics of the Blondie's

Today, I also made Tina's Buffalo Fries for Josh. Tina- he LOVED them!

Ok, NOW for the giveaway! Carrie at Sourcebooks, Inc (publishing company) sent me a copy of Peta's Vegan College Cookbook! This cookbook is set to come out on May 12. During the week of May 11, I will be doing a week of Vegan lunches from the cookbook so you can see how wonderful the recipes are! BUT- you may not have to wait!! Carrie also sent me a copy to give away to one of my fabulous readers. So how do you win? Leave a comment telling me what your favorite vegan meal is OR a vegan product you have always wanted to try. I will close the contest Monday night at midnight. The winner will be chosen at random. For more info, check out this link.

That cookbook would be SO helpful to me right now. I'm a junior in HS so I'm going to need something for college soon....and if the recipes are cheap, that's another plus! I'm trying to cut down on groceries, I spend wayyy too much.

Vegan Tofu Scrambles are my favorite!

Last but not least...totally jealous of your day at the beach! I'm in need of a fresh ocean breeze. Breathe it all in for me!

Frank!!! Looking adorable, as always.

I love vegan chocolate chip pumpkin bars... I made them at least five times this fall! I've also wanted to try out the vegan marshmallow fluff that MIA-Erin used to rave about.

I am a new reader to your blog! I have a bulldog also! He is at home while I am at college and I miss him terribly. They are the cutest, but very demanding!!! =) I am not very "veganized", so I would def use this to get a little insiders edition on new recipes. BTW, awesome blog!

Your weekend is sounding pretty awesome!! So glad you have beach weather.

My most recent favorite vegan meal (I have had quite a few) is that mix of snowpeas, asparagus, and green garlic I did a few days ago!

Oh my gosh, I love the franky pictures! It makes me want to just give him a big big big biiiigg hug!!!! So adorable!!! AHHH, so cute!!

And I want to try tempeh! But I can't seem to find it in my local grocery store! I might have to train it to another area in the city to see if they have it. I don't want to drive 30 minutes to another grocery store... doesn't seem that environmentally friend at all.

Haha, I don't think anyone can help but love Frank after those pictures!

Beach? Sounds wonderful!!

I don't know what my favorite vegan food is, I just like new, healthy, and delicious recipes : )

I think the best thing about Vegan cooking is not having to use oils and eggs in some baking dishes.

I've tried flax seed mixed with water instead of egg, tofu instead of oil in muffins, I've tried nature's balance margarine spread which I love.

Those fries look awesome!~

I'm a big fan of alternative baking company peanut butter persuasion vegan cookies. If I ate enough of them, I think they could make a meal! ;-)

Franky is adorable!

How nice of Carrie to give you
an extra book for a grand giveaway.

I used to work in a food magazine.
One of the perks was getting
to try all of the different
recipes. The one time, our chef
made up these amazing vegan dumplings. I have no idea what
was inside of them, and didn't
expect for them to have as much
flavor as they did. But by golly-they were just awesome!

i hope im not too late for this! I think I have 2 hours still.
