We’ve made it to mid-week! How has your week been so far? Mine has been pretty darn good!
I wanted to share with you two old, but delicious recipes that we enjoyed this week. First up, on Valentine’s day night, I made this vegan creamy chickpea soup. I added a little ground red pepper for kick. It is VERY tasty and can be made non-vegan by using cream or milk instead of cashew cream. I topped our vegan soup in a very non vegan way with some 2% milk cheddar and jalapenos:
We also enjoyed fruit, bread & dessert on the side ;)
Tuesday night, I made up a batch of stuffed potatoes. I used 1/2 lb ground turkey instead of black beans, but the dish can be made either vegetarian or not, up to you! You can also add peppers, jalapenos, or whatever other vegetables you have on hand!
And now for the giveaway! You’ve seen Mandi & I talk about how much we enjoyed Stonyfield Whole Milk yogurt (disclaimer: we received this yogurt for free), and now you can win some for yourself!
The giveaway includes coupons for two free quarts of Stonyfield yogurt, two free 6oz cups, and a stylish Stonyfield tote bag to carry it all in!
To enter: Leave a comment on this post by Sunday, February 20 by noon telling us how you would use Stonyfield’s whole milk yogurt. Would you make a parfait? Use it in a recipe? Eat it by itself? Let us know!! You do not have to have a blog to enter. The winner will be randomly selected.
I want to send two big thank yous out!
1) To this gorgeous lady, who sent me a sweet card and gift certificate to baby gap! You made my day :)
2) To my sweet husband who knew exactly what I wanted for Valentine’s day (yes, I love these…I realize most people think they’re disgusting haha):
Enjoy your day!

Ah Circus Peanuts! I actually like those too. You know I'd make a major parfait with the yogurt. :)
I would love to use the Stonyfield yogurt in one of my green smoothies.
OMG - I LOVE circus peanuts!! My dad and I used to eat them together when I was little. :)
I'm glad you were surprised by the card - surprises are the best!! Have a great day, girlie!
you know, we used to give our kids stonyfield whole milk yogurt and i wasn't a fan of some of them. the kids do like their smoothies!! perhaps i should try them again!
the circus peanuts trip me out!! what a sweet guy!
I would probably eat the yogurt in a parfait. I like to put granola or fruit on yogurt.
Lol at the circus peanuts. I cant say that I share your affinity for them.
Love the baked potato concoction! I would use the yogurt in my smoothies now that we're getting warmer weather here in Texas!
Oh I have to check out that soup recipe. Yummy. Isn't cashew cream awesome for making dishes vegan AND healthier. As for the yogurt, gotta love a good yogurt mess with Kashi Toasted Berry Crumble, bananas, cinnamon and stevia.
i would make a whole milk yogurt cheesecake.... yum :)
and love that chickpea soup! and stuffed potatoes, maybe tonight's dinner!
Yum, love Stoneyfield yogurt! I would probably just eat it straight up plain or mixed with fruit and cereal...although I love adding yogurt to my oatmeal.
I would top my winnings with granola :)
I would use the yogurt to make muffins. Yogurt in blueberry muffins = the best!
mmm i'd use it as a topping in a carrot soup i'm trying to create!
circus peanuts?! that is awesome. was that a random craving or a normal favorite of yours? so cute!Q
Your chickpea soup looks fantastic! Love that cheddar/jalapeno topping. Hmmm, if I win I think I'd eat it topped with berries and a drizzle of honey...one of my favs!
I don't eat dairy. But I would definitely make my boyfriend some healthy high protein muffins!
OMG I'd bathe in the full fat yogurt! :P I'd eat some too, whole milk is nutritious too.
Enjoy your circus peanuts!
That potatoe has me craving a spud! I've never heard of circus peanuts....what are they like?
OOO yummy potato!!
I would probably appreciate the yogurt in its originality and just eat it plain =P
I'm copying down those recipes for Ben's new diet!
What are circus peanuts lol?!?! I'd use the yogurt for a number of things...carrier for granola or creamy soup to name a few!
Every time I see Circus Peanuts I think I'm going to like them but I end up getting grossed out!
That yogurt would be a good substitute for oil in baking.
Yummmm, that soup looks delicious! I'm on a soup kick again, which is interesting given our "heat wave." ;-)
LOVE Stonyfield yogurt! I would definitely use the yogurt for parfaits or for baking. I want to try out more recipes that call for subbing yogurt and see if my friends/family can tell!
I've never had circus peanuts before. :-(
Yum!!
Ok NOW I got it! YOUR baby belly is adoarble! :)
That soup looks so creamy and delicious! I love revisiting old favorites :)
I'd totally make a parfait with homemade granola if I won. I want to show my husband how tasty they are together cause he's not a big yogurt fan.
I have never tried circus peanuts before- not sure if that's a good thing or not.
I would eat the yogurt plain...or with some frozen berries.
great recipes and giveaway! i'd definitely make it into a parfait adding tons of granola and fresh fruit!
I would use it in a smoothis as well as in a recipe. Saw a recipe for lemon cake so that would be perfect.
Chickpea soup? Does this taste like pea soup?
I would eat the Stonyfield yogurt with a little granola.
Cool giveaway. I would use it for parfaits. yum!
What a sweet gift! Hooray for making it this far in the week, hehe!
As far as the yogurt: That stuff would be freaking awesome in sugar-free brownies. Ohh hmmm...
umm delicious! and you know I love and will always love sweet potatoes!!! I have been craving one drizzled in almond butter yum!
So I was going through one of my old purses yesterday and I found some remnants of the candied pecans you brought when you visited boston last summer! i ate most of them but there were a few left behind in my bag!!
xoxo
i have a new fruit salad recipe that i've been meaning to try--that's what i'd use it for!! :)
Your soup looks delicious! I would totally make soup with the yogurt, or use it in baked goods like muffins :)
mmm, love the sound of chickpea soup, and i love the way you topped it!

Love it - so sweet of her to send you a GC!!
And this soup looks wonderful!
I would probably cook with the yogurt!
I've never been brave enough to try circus peanuts!
Circus peanuts are my sister's favorite candy!
I'd use the yogurt in a smoothie or one delicious parfait!!
I would totally use the yogurt to make muffins. That bag would go straight into my collection of reusable bags. I use them enough to kind of justify having as many as I do (I may have a hoarding problem with reusable bags ;-) ).
I am definitely going to make those stuffed potatoes. Look amazing!
xo
Circus Peanuts? Hehe - wasn't expecting that! Too funny Erica, but I'm glad you got just what you wanted. :)
As far as the yogurt goes, I don't usually eat a lot of dairy, but when I do buy yogurt, I prefer the whole milk version. I've been craving yogurt + granola lately. So, that's what I would do with it if I won. Thanks for the giveaway!
I am pretty sure those jalapenos must have added quite the kick to this soup!
Yogurt is one running item in our house. One carton does not stay for more than two days. I'll use it in an Indian curry or one of my breakfast smoothies!
Dont worry I also LOVE circus peanuts!! Oh man havent had those in ages, but used to always get them at the candy store when I was younger :)
I dont think I've ever had whole milk yogurt but I'd love to try it, and I bet it would be delicious baked into a dessert!!
The perfect way to eat a sweet potato! Swooon...
I love the idea of stuffed potatoes! I would use the yogurt to make my lemon yogurt cake!
mm if I had all that yogurt I would for sure use it for yogurt bowls, smoothies, and baking!!
I've never had a circus peanut so
I can't judge you! ha. Sweet of Josh to get you some!
I want to try the yogurt in a parfait with bananas, raspberries and granola.Yum.
i'd strain it, make greek yogurt, and make creamed spinach!
I love stuffed potatoes--they are one of my fav dishes to make.
I would use the yogurt in baking for sure! Maybe some Stonyfield cupcakes?! ;-)
Thanks for the giveaway! I'd make a yogurt bowl, use it as a garnish in soups, or make a smoothie!
Such a sweet pre-baby gift. Enjoy! Baby Gap has the CUTEST things right now.
