Welcome to Moe's

WOW! Thank you again for the birthday wishes- Ya’ll are too kind! Today was a good one!! I had lots and lots of work (which I love)- so the work day was done in a flash. Bonus- I got to work from home again! We were having some dead trees in our yard cut down (these guys are crazzzzzzzzzy-Yes this guy is climbing a tree with a chainsaw):

So I wanted to be home to supervise (aka make sure nothing came flying through the roof). After work there was cleaning and baking (Josh requested some more of my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies):
Then I got my cute-ness on (aka my new skirt and heart rate monitor) and taught 45 minute Body Step. It was the jam. I stopped at Harris Teeter on the way because they are selling cantaloupes for 99 CENTS! Yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Josh and I decided to hit up Moe’s for dinner tonight. Josh has been wanting to go for a while now (actually hes been wanting to go to Chipotle, but we don’t have one…so Moe’s is our substitute!). Josh got a meaty filled burrito:

And I got the personal trainer salad :

Now Josh and I are watching some football and may turn on a movie (oh and I'm eating cantaloupe ;)).What are you doing?

My wonderful sister-in-law, Jenny, sent me this two links I thought you would all enjoy:

More School Lunches Going Vegetarian (Hooray)

And

Are Organic Foods Healthier?

And an EARLY Happy Birthday to the fabulous Ellie at Inside I am Dancing!!

Hey dear!

Ohhh, I am just catching up on a day's worth of blogs on my reader. I may or may not get around to starting to design my new blog at the new domain :)

I also need to scrounge up some dessert... haha

Those tree guys are crazy! We had some trees taken down on our property, they made me so nervous!

Glad you got to enjoy your new presents, such a good hubby!

I used to go to Moe's every Thursday night my freshman year of college, when I went to the Univ. of Oklahoma. It was a few blocks away from my dorm room. It can confirm that is tastes ridiculously good at 2am. haha

I'll be catching up on google reader tonight and then bed time!

Moe's sounds good. Besides Chipotle we have a Hooya's Burrito place...they have bigger burritos than chipotle, it's crazy. I like that they have spinach tortillas!

Interesting article on organic foods... thanks for the reads! As for what I'm doing right now, a lil' Entourage on demand (we missed Sunday and as you can see I am totally focused ;) ), some red wine & a small bit of dark chocolate...whoop whoop!

happy belated birthday! I've been super busy and got behind on my blogs. :(

OMG at the guy up the tree!! You're salad looks great! I've only been to Moe's once and I didn't remember them having salads. That actually doesn't look like a bag option.

I am becoming increasingly passionate about school lunch improvements as my daughter gets closer to attending kindergarten. I read the article you linked and I was surprised to see that 80 percent of schools don't even comply with government guidelines!!

Those tree people are nuts! They are so high and are always so calm about it. Me? I'd be freaking out if I ever had to be up that high!!!

Dear Cantaloupe Woman,

I hope your tree guy is smarter than mine. My guy chainsawed the rope he was attached to, fell out the tree, and his spike boot when through his leg. Great.

Singed,
No So Cantaloupey

I love how much you love cantaloupe :o) When it's perfectly ripe, it's definitely one of the most delicious fruits!

That guy climbing the tree is absolutely NUTSO. I can't believe that! What a brave one.

I hope you have a GREAT holiday weekend, Erica!

I love going to Moe's with The Boy. Their tofu is so good, and I love getting quesadillas and tacos and bowls of tofu, beans, and veggies - so good. Their queso dip is really awesome, too :-)

Therese said...

I lurrrve Moe's!! Their queso is amazing (although I'm pretty sure cellulite is the main ingredient).

I majah jealous of your new Polar. Mine has been sick for a couple months now and I am going through withdrawals!

CaSaundraLeigh said...

That guy is nuts!! That's a huge tree too lol. Obv he is not scared of heights--eek!

I might have been able to guess you were eating some cantaloupe without you even mentioning it :-)

Holly said...

Holy crap! You couldn't pay me enough dollahs to climb trees like that - especially with a chainsaw! This girl is so clumsy, that's just asking for a limb to be cut off (hahaha pun intended).

Dang, that is a deal on canteloupe! I've been eating one a week....ah, I just love them.

Just catching up on my blog reading since I have the day off today - HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

My Mom and I went to Moe's one time over the summer - we were surprised at how flavorful the meat was - totally worth the $$!

Krista said...

I don't blame you for wanting to be home while that craziness was happening in you yard! YIKES!

Mmmm....cantaluope....

HealthySDLiving said...

Umm yea I'd stay home to make sure no trees came flying in my house too! HA
I've still never been to a Chipotle or Moe's...they both sound so good!

YAY for birthday presents!

IMHO Moe's is waaaay better than Chipotle. I'm pretty sure it's due to their salsa bar and hot sauce. It's awesome.

Yay for 99 cent cantalope! I hope to find something good tonight after work. I'm out of bananas, it's an emergency!

I LOOOOVE how vegetarianism is getting so much attention these days! I'm not a declared vegetarian, but my habits fall on that side of the line, so it would be really nice for there not to be any stigma attached if I did ever decide to call myself vegetarian/vegan/raw/etc. So many kiddie meat products are so processed anyway!

the food from moe's sounds so good! i love the monitor!
