Goals and Products

Happy Long Weekend!!!! Sorry for being MIA yesterday. After work I taught Body Attack and then helped (sort of) Josh put our new Weber grill together:

Can't wait to use it! We had to make a quick run to Lowe's and then finished watching 7 pounds (which was definitely an interesting movie...). We passed out around 11. So far today I taught Body Step, went food shopping, went to the pool for about an hour and a half (its SO beautiful out), and now I'm watching the Penn State game.

Couple quick notes- the mug Josh got me for my birthday is AMAZING and totally keeps your coffee warm for four hours (for those of you who asked)!! I highly recommend it:

I got an awesome package today filled with my No Meat Athlete T!! I am super excited to wear this (and thanks for the extra surprise Matt!!!):

I’ve been thinking a lot about goals lately and have decided that I really want to write mine down (I don’t know why I’ve never really done this before!) and hold myself accountable. I love that Tina does mini weekly goals and I would like to do the same, as well as set longer term goals.

For the weekend:
Spend at least 8 hours outside (1.5 hours down already!!)
Smile more
Complete a test run for an upcoming race I am hoping to complete
Eat Fresh Berry
Spend lots of time with Josh and Frank

Longer Term:
Complete at least 1 race (2 would be ideal) before December
Run 12 straight miles by the New Year
Train to teach a new group fitness program (hopefully Body Pump)
Try at least 1 new restaurant a month
Have coffee with two new people (friends)
Take 1 walk a week with Josh

Care to share some of your own? Either longer or shorter term?

Those sound like great long term and short term goals! I especially like the "try one new restaurant per month" one, that sounds like it would be fun:)

My current goals are to participate more actively in my school's clubs and to study really, really hard! I also hope to run another half marathon in the near future...

For the weekend: Sleep!

For the remainder of the year: Run 7 straight miles, work on coming up with new and creative meals so we're not always stuck in a rut!

I haven't seen 7 Pounds! Austin said someone ruined the ending for him so I haven't gotten around to going it alone yet. Great goals and yay for the new grill! If body pump is like what i'm used to (fun strength training group class!) then I so hope you do it and post your routines!!! :) I'll take virtual classes from you!

What a nice grill! You guys are going to be grilling machines :)

I like the smile more one! I need to do that. Don't get me wrong, I'm friendly and approachable but if I'm walking somewhere, I never smile at people I pass by - I don't know why!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Have fun on your grill :D

Love that T-shirt. I'm not really a vegetarian, but probably could be some day. Either way - the t-shirts are adorable.

Ahhh you got a Weber! Trust me, this will become your new best friend. I LOVE LOVE LOVE our weber. It's truly the Gucci of all grills.

Love your goals. Writing down your aspirations is a brilliant idea. It really holds you accountable to them.

Have a great weekend beautiful!

Congrats on the new grill and the new t-shirt. :)

Some of my current goals: NYC Marathon in November, start going to yoga once a week, do at least 10 minutes of cleaning every day so that it doesn't get to be too overwhelming, go to bed before 11 during the week.

Can't to see what you guys cook up on that grill!

One goal I have for sure is to get back to meal planning for the week. This will be important with all the kid's sports starting up again. It can be too easy to throw a frozen pizza in the oven or grab Subway.

Ooh the grill looks awesome! And what a cool coffee mug. The t-shirt is super cute, too :) Your goals sound great! Some of mine are to find a running group, get good grades and learn a lot in school, and work on finding balance again in my life now that school has started!

Your goals are very measurable and reasonable--I like 'em! I'm going to come up with a list of my own. In addition, a before-I-graduate to do list too. YIKES!

I like the Fresh Berry goal for this weekend :)

Love the grill! You will love having one.
Some goals I am working on: gaining weight, improving my strength training, eating more protein, serving/helping others more often, and relax and enjoy life!

I have 7 Pounds on my Netflix list to come next! Hopefully I'll like it...

It seems like all the goals I have set right now are for the next 3 months: finish my first full marathon, get hired as a personal trainer, quit my desk job, take my first out of country trip!

(I hope no one I work with reads that!)

Oh, and every day goal: be happy. :-)

I love your goals! They're so positive.

I'd also like to run two races by December... I've never been able to run one before, but my first is this Sunday!

Good luck!
