Pro Bars, Twilight, Eggs

Happy Thursday! We've ALMOST made it to Friday. I was totally exhausted after work today and took an hour nap. I woke up feeling refreshed and headed out to the gym to teach Body Step. I think I may have had TOO much energy from my nap, as my participants looked about ready to pass out half way through class haha.

When I got home from the gym, I opened up two wonderful packages I had received. The first was a set of samples of Pro Bars. According to the Pro Bar website, these bars are, "Made from whole, organic, raw foods, and 100 percent vegan, PROBAR is a natural alternative to other nutrition bars which contain unrecognizable, hard-to-pronounce ingredients. Not only are Art’s creations nutritious, but also they actually look appetizing - like real food! Just to top it off, they taste delicious too!"

Josh grabbed the cocoa pistachio flavor while running out the door to play basketball tonight. I will let you know his thoughts tomorrow!!

I also received an awesome package from Josh's mom! She got me hooked on the Twilight series over our vacation. I read the first two books in a matter of three days!! She sent me the last two books and I cannot WAIT to read them:

After a shower, I made a fast/easy dinner consisting of 1 egg and 2 egg whites scrambled (topped with hot sauce and a little Parmesan cheese), brussels, berries....

...and TJ's tortilla flat breads(I had a few more than what is pictured).

These flat breads rock! Three flat breads only contain 90 calories and are made from a small list of recognizable ingredients! I highly recommend them!
After dinner, I also had a large handful of semi sweet chocolate chips! They were delicious.
I am hoping to get into bed very soon. Josh is flying out to a bachelor party tomorrow morning and I have to have him at the airport by 5 am! Since the airport is so close to my work, I am going to head right into the office after the drop off. Have a great night :)

Way to go rocking it out at step class! I love taking step! Very cool that you are an instructor. Do you find that you get as good a work out teaching it as you would taking it?

Yay for almost Friday!!

Wow...your dinner plate looks so professional!

I can't wait to hear your review on the ProBars. I've been meaning to try these.

Scrambled eggs and hot sauce is one beautiful combination. Have you ever tried pesto and eggs? This too is freaking unbeleiveable! :)

I love the TJ Flat Breads. I picked up the honey and falx falvor and can't get enough! They make an excellent scopper for salads and soups! :)

Hope you have a wonderful Friday hun!

I love naps :) Too bad I can't remember what they're like! My three year old seems to be abandoning them now, too... lord help me! :)

Your class sounds as though it was awesome!

My sister just started reading the first twilight book... she said there are a ton of differences between the book and the movie. I haven't read the book and only saw the movie once... I really liked it - I should get started on the books!

I have ProBars coming soon - I can't wait to try them.

Twilight is such a guilty pleasure for me - it's not written particularly well but it was so entertaining!

I wish we had ProBars in NZ, they look great.

...Isn't that the second and fourth Twilight books? The third one was Eclipse...or was it? I'm confused now. :)

Your post just reminded me that I have a Pro Bar in my "bar box" that I still need to try--it's Kettle Corn flavored--they are definitely some hefty bars, but look delish! And those flatbreads look good too--I bet they'd be good with some tuna spread on em'!

I've always seen those TJs flat breads but wondered if they were worth buying or not. Thanks for the review - I'll have to pick up a stash (and smoother hummus all over them of course ;) )!

Happy Friday!!! Hope you have a wonderful day :)

Girl where do you get your TJ's stash?! I know there isn't one in Charleston...

Kristin @ The Southern Summer said...

Ok good, I was worried I was missing something...

Yeah I made a huge trip to TJ's when I was in Charlotte a month or so ago..I'm just now running out!

Yeah I heard rumor (from someone who works at a corp real estate firm) that we MAY be getting one, but haven't heard anything else about it...we need one badly!

MMM, I have had the cherry pretzel and sesame goji Probars and liked them both, but as you've noticed by now they are quite dense! A bit much for just a snack, but I have to hand it to them, even half of one held me over for HOURS. Actually, the cherry pretzel one came in WAY handy the other day when I was on a flight from Vegas to NYC - we made a stop in Chicago but continuing passengers weren't allowed to leave the plane, so you can imagine I got very hungry in that long stretch of time, and they don't serve food anymore of course! I didn't want the icky 100 calorie packs of whateveritwas, so I busted out the Probar and stayed full til I was home and was able to whip up something proper. :) Enjoy!

woah that's an early time to get to the airport...my hubby had to get up at 6:30 to drop off our houseguest at the airport this morning and i thought THAT was early...

Twilight is embarrassingly addicting, in my opinion. Awesome bars! Jealous!

I've been wanting to try ProBars but can't find them near me. Either I'm not looking hard enough or not trying the right places. Must. Look. Harder!
