Sette & Weekend

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was super busy. I taught a chunk and had to do a good deal of work, work to do (unfortunately). BUT, I did still get to spend some wonderful time with Josh, Frank, friends & got in a couple hours at the pool.

On Saturday night, we tried a new-to-us restaurant, Sette.

 Sette 001

Sette is another tasty Dine with Sal restaurant like Long Point Grill and Mustard Seed (someone I know loves Sal & his restaurants ;)).

Sette 002

We went to Sette with our wonderful friends Bryan & Mandi. Unfortunately for us, we arrived to a wait and we were all super hungry! The kitchen was also a little slow getting our food out, but they did apologize a lot for the delay. Thankfully, we had their amazing bread and olive oil to hold us over. This chick may have eaten three pieces of this deliciousness ;)

Sette 003 Some how, the couples ended up not sitting together, haha. Josh & Mandi:

Sette 004

Bryan and myself (I think I’m eating too many carrots & sweet potatoes…I’m looking a little orange hehe):

Sette 005

When the food did arrive, it was fantastic. I got the Pine Nut Crusted Goat Cheese Salad (and thought of this lovely lady who loves Sal’s crusted goat cheese):

Sette 006

Josh got the Chicken Parm:

Sette 007

Mandi got the Vegetable Lasagna (which I would have gotten if it weren’t for the mushrooms…):

Sette 008

and Bryan got the Eggplant Parm:

 Sette 009

We all enjoyed our dishes, the flavors were great! It is definitely not authentic/authentic Italian- but I still loved every bite and plan to go back!!

Ahh, bread and olive oil. It usually needs to be taken away from me, otherwise I go crazy!

We've got a week full of packing ahead of us! Only 10 days until the big move.

You had me at goat cheese salad! That looks amazing, as does everyone else's food - lots of cheese makes me happy!

Having my PIL and family over for a bbq on the weekend, other than that, just work. :(

I am off of work today with plans to make pita bread = fingers crossed it turns out!

I am super excited for this week to get going--I'm going apartment hunting on Wednesday! I also get to see Seth in the process as a bonus!

What a fun night! I love trying out new restaurants, especially with friends. I would have had a hard time deciding between that salad and the lasagna!

Good luck with the launch! It sounds like so much fun.

I have three days off this week so I'm going to get some things done I've been putting off.

I am so glad to hear something about that place. I have never talked to a single person who has eaten there. I will have to add that to the list of places to eat soon!

Awww, so cute that you guys sat on opposite sides of the booth. We do this sometimes with my parents and I love the change in scenery!
Sette looks like a great place. That salad sounds awesome. Anything with "encrusted goat cheese" and I'm immediately sold on a salad entree.

Great pictures - the mixed up couples is hilarious!

So... Did I just infer that you don't like mushrooms? Am I right? If so, how did I miss this?!

Oh what a great time out..I remember that chain of restaurants from living in SC!

I think it's a SC thing...they are always understaffed and running late on weekends...the wait times are always LONG, i remember those days. Good thing you didnt have a 3 yr old with you :)

You are a teaching machine girl..make sure you're getting some down time!

I love goat cheese on salads! Glad you guys had a great time. Nothing is better than a good dinner with friends.

Holly said...

Oh my gosh....crusted goat cheese?! I'm pretttty much obsessed with goat cheese right now, and crusted just sounds amazing. You really can't go wrong with a good old Italian restaurant, right? Or maybe that's just me? :-)

I was looking at the pictures before I read the captions and I thought, "Hmm...Josh looks different...." You guys switched it up! Arriving to a wait at a restaurant when you're hungry is the worst! Glad the bread basket helped tide you over - best part in my opinion ;)

80's night?! WOOHOO!!! Love 80's! I hope the launch was a big success!

I love when instructors dress up for class. It's a good reminder that working out is meant to be FUN! Ours had to wear full lifeguard gear for last week's Pump. I think they were a bit mortified :).
