Hello! After about a week straight of rainy days in South Carolina, the sun is finally shinning! I’m super excited!! Today, I’d like to share with you our weekly meal plan and a restaurant review of a newer coffee/food spot.
So, what’s on tap for this weeks eats? I food shop on Fridays, so that's where my weekly plan starts:
- Friday: Burritos for him, taco salad for her with asparagus guacamole
- Saturday: Out
- Sunday: Turkey stir fry
- Monday: Breakfast for dinner (omelets)
- Tuesday: Maria’s pasta bake
- Wednesday: Burgers (beef for him, veggie for her), broccoli & fruit
- Thursday: Vegetable soup with grilled cheese
What’s on your plan?
On Sunday morning, Josh, Kaylin & I had the opportunity to try out a newer restaurant in Mount Pleasant, Collective Coffee Co.
Collective Coffee is just beautiful inside:
Beyond beautiful, the restaurant offers delicious pour over coffees, fresh squeezed juices, and tasty dishes:
According to the owners, everything at The Collective is made to order, using organic components when possible, and most menu items are homemade. You can check out the full menu here. Josh started with the fresh squeezed orange juice:
I stole a sip. It was so yummy. I also let Kaylin have her first sip of juice, she liked it a lot (I don’t let Kaylin have juice because most are packed with sugar and artificial flavors/colors):
I, of course, tried out their coffee. Bold and so yum. I also was a big fan of their mugs:
When I saw the menu, I knew I had to try the parfait! It was made with vanilla bean yogurt, granola, fruit & honey:
It was amazing and so filling. Josh had the chorizo wrap which contained egg, black beans, queso fresco, pickled jalapenos, avocado, and cilantro. On the side were bagel chips:
Gah! Everything was amazing! If you live here, or are in the area, please give collective coffee a go!
Giveaway coming up later this week!!
*disclaimer: we were allowed to try the restaurant for free, but all opinions are our own!!

I love breakfast for dinner!
Totally intrigued by the asparagus guac.
I'm so glad you reviewed this place because I saw it a week ago when I went to that froyo place next to it and was wondering if the coffee was any good and what the inside was like.

That looks like an awesome little place!
How did I know you'd get the a yogurt parfait?? :)
Enjoy the sunshine!!
We have to meet there soon! Thank you for the amazing recommendation!
Yes! You should definitely give it a go! BTW- I love fresh berry and didn't realize thats where the Mount P location was!
The owner actually bought my washer and dryer when I moved last - that's the only reason I knew it was there!
Woah, that wrap is ginormous! Love the combos. The parfait looks luxurious. :) Their French toast also sounds fantastic!
Menu this week includes: burgers (last night), proscuitto with napa cabbage stir fry, grilled chicken salads, pea soup (our CSA gave us TOO much!) and possibly out.
I love that you do a little bit of his/hers in your meal planning - we totally do that too! The coffee house is stunning inside and everything looks delish! Too cute about Kay and her first juice - such a good mama! I always joke that I want my kids (when I have kids, lol) to think a cookie is a homemade granola bar...until they go to school of course and some kid lets them in on what a real cookie is, lol!
TOTALLY! I refuse to buy almost anything packaged (other than chobani & Annie's products :))
Wow, I love the interior of Collective Coffee Co. And your eats look fantastic - there is nothing better than freshly squeezed orange juice at brunch, in my opinion. I also love your meal plan for this week. I still need to get myself in the habit of doing that, but I will say that we've been better lately about talking about possible meals for each week. Now it's just a matter of actually assigning and making a list. :)
Looks awesome, I'll definitely have to check it out! Btw - I've taken your Body Attack class at ESAC a few times :)
You should definitely check it out! Awesome! Come introduce yourself (I'm oblivious sometimes ;))
love their mugs too!! love big mugs ;)
Love the look of that turkey stir-fry! Yum!
