As always, HAPPY FRIDAY! This is going to be an especially exciting & busy weekend for us, as Josh’s parents, sister & her boyfriend are visiting!! I’m not sure about you guys, but ever since the holiday rush….I have not felt like making anything sweet. This week I finally got over that hump and got back into baking.
Wednesday night was a busy one in our house, so breakfast for dinner seemed perfect. I made up a batch of these oatmeal pancakes and topped them with berries.
Thursday afternoon, I baked in preparation for the arrival of our guests. I tried a new banana chocolate chip muffin recipe. The only change I made was to make the muffins mini! Instead of baking them for 30 minutes, I baked the minis for 15. They turned out fabulous:
I also made a batch of my big oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
And now I’m ready for the weekend! Are you still sick of baking? Or have you baked recently (please share links!!)? Enjoy your weekend.

I'm getting ready to bake more on Saturday! :)
You know I don't bake, but if I could, you're recipes would be top on my list. Looks awesome girl!! Have a great weekend
I haven't baked since Christmas eve! We still have way too many sweets in our house.
But C's birthday is next week so I'll be right back into it soon enough! :)
Haven't baked in a while....
Everything that you made looks amazing!!!!
I haven't really baked in a long time. I used to bake banana bread and things like that often. But I don't really eat that sort of thing (well, I want to if I make it of course) so I just don't make it unless I'm taking it to work. Those muffins look great.
i literally want to make everything in this post. bookmarked the pancakes and muffins...i had a bit of a banana bread baking disaster and will be trying again soon. and i'm making cookies tonight!!! have a great weekend!
you know why you are awesome? bc you always bake before guests come! they are lucky :)
haha...funny you mention it, because yesterday I baked a cake! A chocolate cake with a "secret" ingredient! you need to come and check it out on my blog!

and thanks for your sweet comment yesterday. I have always tried to eat real and as unprocessed food as possible :)
I have been trying to avoid baking since I still have a ton of sweets in the house. Definitely need to make some friends with people so I don't have so many goodies laying around. Or just figure out some self control/super healthy recipes.
xo
The last time I baked was around Christmas. I enjoyed it so much!
Pancakes, muffins, and cookies, Oh My! Love it...yum...
You've inspired me to make something today instead of just cleaning (that can wait!)
:)
Hey girl hey!! It's been a minute. Nice to catch up on a couple of your posts. Happy new year! xx
Have fun with the fam this weekend! I miss you! :)
I felt the same way!! I got over my hump too, but I've been baking MUCH healthier recipes than I was during the holidays.
I'm so NOT sick of baking. In fact, I baked some cookies last night! Oh and some muffins, lately!

I could never get sick of baking; it's my favorite activity! And you can eat more because it takes energy doing the dishes, or that's what I like to think.
Oh yeah, since xmas I have not wanted to bake at all - I have felt so full of sweets! That hasn't exactly stopped me from still eating the leftovers, though... :) Of course just as all the leftovers are coming to the end I get talked into baking for my coworker's birthday today. I modified Martha's recipe for brownie cupcakes (to make them gluten free and mocha flavored) and they turned out awesome! Will post the recipe soon. Happy weekend!
Same here!! I have not wanted to bake but this weekend I'm finally feeling some cookies coming on :)
Your pancake recipe looks awesome - I bet whole wheat pastry flour would go great in those.
Have a great weekend with your family!!
you are a baking machine! I love it!
i havent baked in a couple weeks, but i have made lots of soups and savory foods :)
enjoy your weekend!
girl you are READY for guests! i haven't had even a single little urge to bake since the holidays haha but i'm having a post-holiday party tomorrow night where everyone has to bring their favorite dessert so i better decide on a few things to bake up pronto!
have fun this weekend :) i'm sure you'll have nooo problem being the hostess with the mostest like you always are ;)
I miss baking
I actually baked some peanut butter dough ball cookies last night. They turned out okay. I think I'm going to make some cinnamon chip cookies this weekend for my husband!
I have a bunch of ripe bananas in my freezer--this post reminded me. Looks like I need to do some baking this weekend :) I'm also planning to try homemade marshmallows!
I am ALWAYS ready to bake....now I just need someone to bake for! :-) I think I might try out some (wheat free) Nutella cookies, for my nephew with food allergies. Your pancakes look perfect....I always have trouble with mine. :-(
Oooh have fun with all of the in-laws this weekend! That's always fun :-)
All of your goodies look so delicious! I'm especially interested in those chocolate chip oatmeal babies.
I'm working most of the weekend, but have the night off so Ari and I are going to cook and watch a movie!
Mmmm! Everything looks fantastic! I took a week off from baking/sweets but I am sure I will bake this weekend. I love it!
Ever since Seth got me a hand mixer for Christmas, my passion for baking has returned! I just made a batch of Ellie Krieger's Pumpkin Pie Muffins a few days ago: http://thebroccolihut.com/i-used-to-be-fat/
Breakfast for dinner is one of my favorites and I love your yummy baked goods, as always! Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
All of your oatie creations look delicious!! Especially those cookies :)
I think I'll be baking some cookies for my brother. Those cookies look amazing.
Have a great weekend with the family.
It's always fun to have the fam in town--I am sure they go nuts over all your yummy baked goodies..I know I would! Have a fabulous weekend..can't wait to see what you all did! :-)
Since Christmas I have not wanted to bake at ALL - I think I overdid it this season! Your stuff looks fantastic though. Hope you had a nice weekend with your guests!
I prefer making banana muffins over banana bread. The muffins cook better and are a nice little treat.
haha...i have to say i am a bit baked + sweet treated out, but those treats still look DELICIOUS nonetheless :)
