E: Weekend- Grill 225 & Ladles Soup

Hello All! Hope your weekend is fantastic! Sorry I have been a little MIA- it was a hectic week! On Friday, Josh and I went on an awesome date to Grill 225 to celebrate Charleston’s restaurant week.

I LOVE the bread basket at Grill 225. It is filled with a variety of breads made in-house. My favorite is the focaccia with tomato:

I ordered off the regular menu and got a mesculen salad & their side pasta (with roasted garlic, fresh basil and olive oil). It is MASSIVE and always results in lots of leftovers ;).  The whole chunks of roasted garlic are amazing.

Josh ordered off the restaurant week menu and got a chopped Caesar salad, a 7-oz filet with onion straws:

And the banana bread pudding. We shared the banana bread pudding- SO good.

Saturday morning, I was up early and at the gym. After I got cleaned up, my Mom came down for shopping & lunch. We tried a new spot in Mount Pleasant, Ladles Soups.

The restaurant was SUPER busy (especially for being brand new). They have tons of soups, salads & sandwiches on their menu. AND, if you want one of their soup recipes- you just have to email them!

My Mom and I both got the garden vegetable soup which came with a sunflower seed roll (mmm):

We also split a garden salad. Ladles is an awesome spot! I love that they indicate which of their soups are vegetarian and which are gluten free. I can’t wait to return.

When I got back home, I cleaned up around the house and baked up a batch of my vegan double chocolate pumpkin muffins to bring as a hostess gift for our Group Fitness Holiday party.

Josh and I attended the party Saturday night and had an absolute blast!

What did you do this weekend? Tune in tomorrow for the big announcement!

Sounds like a perfect weekend so far. I just love date nights that include an unforgettable dinner.
And that new lunch spot sounds like a great find! I wish more places would specialize in soups. There are NOT enough good soups around here.

Have a great Sunday hun!

Your muffins look so good! I need to bake some pumpkin and chocolate together. And love the foccacia- I don't touch the bread basket unless there is something really special like that.

I'm in love with your pumpkin muffins, as I mentioned. I made a batch of those and a batch of yogurt blueberry muffins this weekend to go to my in-laws' cabin. My daughter ate like 5 muffins. She's 14 months.
