Baking & Chick-fil-A

Happy Friday!! I hope your weekend is off to a good start. What are you up to this weekend??

After finishing up work today, I got a little busy in the kitchen and made an adjusted loaf of my Vegan Multigrain Bread. I am still working on perfecting this and will post an updated recipe once I do:

P1080816

I also made up a batch of granola to bring to my Dad tomorrow (we’re headed to my parents for a BBQ!):

P1080818

Then, it was off to Chick-fil-A, so that the husband could try (for free!!) the new Spicy Chicken Sandwich. I heard lots of good things about the new addition to the menu, and I knew the husband would love it.  I nibbled before we went (knowing that chick-fil-a isn’t known for their vegetarian selections ;)). I did get a side salad with honey mustard dressing:

P1080819

and one of their new cookie crumb parfaits (very yum, but not Charleston’s Cafe yum ;)):

P1080820 The new sandwich:

Josh really enjoyed it! Best part of dinner? We met up with Lindsay and P!!! They swung by our house afterwards to meet the Frankster too.

Chick-Fil-a of North Mount Pleasant on Urbanspoon

So excited for the rest of the weekend. I think I will do a bit more baking tonight. Tomorrow, I am teaching Body Step, hopefully going to the IoP beach to see the sandcastle building contest and off to a BBQ at my parents house. Sunday is open! Cannot wait.

Oh wow, he got the deluxe sandwich! I got my free spicy chicken sandwich for lunch today and omg, it is life changing. So tasty!! I also love their side salads and that honey mustard. I haven't tried those new little parfaits. CFA is the only fast food place that I just LOVE! For some reason it's the only one that doesn't make me feel guilty for eating there.

I have never tried that parfait before.

Have a great weekend!!

I'm super impressed with chic fil a's salads. They're way more than the iceberg lettuce and grape tomatoes you get at any other fast food restaurant.

Enjoy your weekend! BBQs are a blast.

Bread seems like it is always the hardest thing to get completely right--but I can't wait till you share the recipe! We actually don't have any Chick-fil-A's around here, but even if we did, I probably wouldn't go often. That parfait looks delish though!

I finally went to Body Pump yesterday- for the first time in awhile! It felt wonderful! :-)
I bet you're awesome in person just based on the fact that you are an instructor because every instructor I have come across is friendly and just an all around good person.

Chick-fil-A is definitely not a good place for vegetarians...but their waffle fries are amazing!

My husband LOVES Chick-Fil-A! I do always have a bit of trouble finding stuff there whenever I happen to be with him on a stop. Still, their side salads are super fresh!
