Itzy on the Road: DC Area

Hi guys! How are you? I'm doing pretty welll....very tired and sick :( I sort of knew after being near two sick people all weekend at training that a cold was on its way! It struck late last night- I am pushing through it.

I left this am and flew up to DC for work. I really wanted to do a DC dinner with all the awesome bloggers, but it was a last minute trip and I didn't have time to organize :( Def next time guys- whose in???

I had a longggg day at work and was planning initially on just grabbing something quick in the hotel but ended up going out to a really lovely dinner with my awesome friend Ally. We went to the Dogfish Head Alehouse in Falls Church, VA. It was so wonderful to catch up with Ally and the food was great. I ordered the Alehouse salad and the Mediterranean hummus platter:

Yum! Quick shout out to Amy over at Coffee Talk and her awesome contraptionize video! Such a creative idea! Check it out!
Are you guys watching American Idol or are you over it?? I totally still watch it :)

hope you feel better asap! i have tried airborne before too but i needed dose after dose of the whole bottle of fizzies. it can do the trick ( literally the ingredients do help with your immune system but nothing cures a cold!)

is that hummus and naan?

hooray for dc- my sis lives there so maybe next time I will travel to meet bloggies too!

over american idol- but totally see why people still like it.

Hope you feel better soon! I take Emergen C whenever I feel a sickness coming on. It's awesome! Your dinner looks amazing. I am not an Idol watcher. Gave up after season 3.

Oh no! I hope you feel better soon, lady!

Your meal looks amazing, though. Hummus platter? I'm all over that!

I SHOULD be watching AI. I used to be obsessed with it but didn't watch last year. How's it shaping up this year?

Hope you're feelin', better!

And, yeah, I still can't help but get hooked into AI but I really haven't watched it this season ... I like it in the top 12 the best.

Get better, girl!!

Aaw I hope you feel better!

I would have totally driven down to DC for a blogger meet-up. Make it down there again before I leave for school!

Ugh, sorry you are sick! Colds are so annoying, aren't they? Not enough to where I feel like I can take off work, but just enough to complain. :-)

I feel like I'm the ONLY one not watching AI! I might tune in when it gets closer to the end, though.

Made your Black Bean soup again last night (creature of habit, right here). Yummmm!

I am a total fan of American Idol, I never miss a show.

What about Tatiana?!? I thought for sure she wasn't going through. I am already picking a winner. I like the guy who's wife just passed away (I don't know his name). He's so good!
