Hello everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was super busy. I taught a chunk and had to do a good deal of work, work to do (unfortunately). BUT, I did still get to spend some wonderful time with Josh, Frank, friends & got in a couple hours at the pool.
On Saturday night, we tried a new-to-us restaurant, Sette.
Sette is another tasty Dine with Sal restaurant like Long Point Grill and Mustard Seed (someone I know loves Sal & his restaurants ;)).
We went to Sette with our wonderful friends Bryan & Mandi. Unfortunately for us, we arrived to a wait and we were all super hungry! The kitchen was also a little slow getting our food out, but they did apologize a lot for the delay. Thankfully, we had their amazing bread and olive oil to hold us over. This chick may have eaten three pieces of this deliciousness ;)
Some how, the couples ended up not sitting together, haha. Josh & Mandi:
Bryan and myself (I think I’m eating too many carrots & sweet potatoes…I’m looking a little orange hehe):
When the food did arrive, it was fantastic. I got the Pine Nut Crusted Goat Cheese Salad (and thought of this lovely lady who loves Sal’s crusted goat cheese):
Josh got the Chicken Parm:
Mandi got the Vegetable Lasagna (which I would have gotten if it weren’t for the mushrooms…):
and Bryan got the Eggplant Parm:
We all enjoyed our dishes, the flavors were great! It is definitely not authentic/authentic Italian- but I still loved every bite and plan to go back!!
Busy week ahead! Lots of teaching (Body Step 80’s Launch tonight!!!) and a busy work schedule. What do you have going on this week?

Ahh, bread and olive oil. It usually needs to be taken away from me, otherwise I go crazy!
We've got a week full of packing ahead of us! Only 10 days until the big move.
Looks like a great restaurant--I would have definitely gotten the lasagna! But everyone's looked good. Glad you got a little time to kick back this weekend. Have an awesome week--don't work too hard ;-)
Sorry work got in the way of your weekend, but I'm glad you were able to get out there and have a little fun, too!
Sette looks amazing. I love goat cheese salads :)
Body Step 80s?! This better be happening where I live because that sounds like the best reason to work out I've heard in a long time!!
i LOVE me a good mushroom but i think the words "crusted goat cheese" would have totally had me sold. there's just something ridiculously amazing about goat cheese & onions or just goat cheese in general..

You had me at goat cheese salad! That looks amazing, as does everyone else's food - lots of cheese makes me happy!
Having my PIL and family over for a bbq on the weekend, other than that, just work. :(
I am off of work today with plans to make pita bread = fingers crossed it turns out!
Now I want Italian!
your salad looks awesome, as does the sound of your 80s launch :)
My week is BUSY--baseball games, bachelorette viewing parties, concerts at the Botanical Gardens...I hope I have time to sleep! Gotta live it up for summer though. Have a good week!
i love all the workout and cooking action goin' on this blog lately my lady! i would desperately love a fresh loaf of focaccia - pasta/italian i can do without, but never deprive me of bread!
you, josh and your friends are so cute! hope you have a great week lady :)
All four of those meals look delicious! Glad you got to have some fun in work filled weekend.
The print on your dress is super cute! And girl I think you're mistaking orange for tan--you look good!
That veg lasagna looks pretty monumental. It's been ages since I've had a good lasagna. Glad to hear you had fun!!
Sette looks like a great dining spot! I'm a sucker for anything with pine nuts:)
I am super excited for this week to get going--I'm going apartment hunting on Wednesday! I also get to see Seth in the process as a bonus!
What a fun night! I love trying out new restaurants, especially with friends. I would have had a hard time deciding between that salad and the lasagna!
Good luck with the launch! It sounds like so much fun.
I have three days off this week so I'm going to get some things done I've been putting off.
I am so glad to hear something about that place. I have never talked to a single person who has eaten there. I will have to add that to the list of places to eat soon!
Awww, so cute that you guys sat on opposite sides of the booth. We do this sometimes with my parents and I love the change in scenery!
Sette looks like a great place. That salad sounds awesome. Anything with "encrusted goat cheese" and I'm immediately sold on a salad entree.
The goat cheese salad looks awesome! Glad you got to enjoy some play in between the work! :)
Your salad looks wonderful!! So does his parm.... :)
Great pictures - the mixed up couples is hilarious!
So... Did I just infer that you don't like mushrooms? Am I right? If so, how did I miss this?!
80's that sounds so fun, can't wait to see pics.
The goat cheese on your salad looks sooo good!!
An 80s launch party sounds super fun... Hope you're dressing up :)
This weekend I'm planning on packing, packing, and more packing to prepare for the big move!
Sues
Oh what a great time out..I remember that chain of restaurants from living in SC!
I think it's a SC thing...they are always understaffed and running late on weekends...the wait times are always LONG, i remember those days. Good thing you didnt have a 3 yr old with you :)
You are a teaching machine girl..make sure you're getting some down time!
I love goat cheese on salads! Glad you guys had a great time. Nothing is better than a good dinner with friends.
Oh my gosh....crusted goat cheese?! I'm pretttty much obsessed with goat cheese right now, and crusted just sounds amazing. You really can't go wrong with a good old Italian restaurant, right? Or maybe that's just me? :-)
I was looking at the pictures before I read the captions and I thought, "Hmm...Josh looks different...." You guys switched it up! Arriving to a wait at a restaurant when you're hungry is the worst! Glad the bread basket helped tide you over - best part in my opinion ;)
80's night?! WOOHOO!!! Love 80's! I hope the launch was a big success!
80's launch sounds fun! This week I'm getting my butt in gear to kick off my next detox program. Lots of work but it's work I don't mind, y'know?
Yummy! Great pics of everything, especially you two! Gorgeous. :D
The food looks amazing. I love plates with a ton of colors on them!
Your salad looked sooo yummy!! I can't wait to see pics from the 80s body step launch!!! I hope you did it up just like you did for my 21st birthday!! Remember that?? hahaha

I love when instructors dress up for class. It's a good reminder that working out is meant to be FUN! Ours had to wear full lifeguard gear for last week's Pump. I think they were a bit mortified :).
