I love the blog 101 Cookbooks. I know you probably do too :). Heidi makes the most incredible food- its fresh, its unique, its just plain amazing. I grabbed one of her breakfast recipes to make tonight (note: Josh also had some leftover lasagna ;).
Gold Coast French Toast
Ingredients:
1 egg
1 cup undiluted evaporated milk (I used 2%)
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 slices bread
Directions:
Beat egg; add milk, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix thoroughly. Dip bread into mixture. Brown on both sides on a well-greased griddle or frying pan. Serve with desired toppings!
Again, not a beautiful picture but it was wayy yummy.
On another note- the Frankster is sick :(. I fed him some turkey last night and apparently it didn't go over well. I think he was fearful today of getting sick on the floor and looked for any other place to relieve himself. He choose one of my duffel bags. haha I literally came home to #2 in my duffel bag. Poor baby. I hope he feels better!

I love french toast. Mmm...
I hope Frank feels better! That french toast looks great. I'm picking up some rotissere chicken and making stuffing and steamed broccali! My mom was supposed to bring my smoked turkey down and she didn't!
Utterly decedent and delicious, French toast is also cheap, easy and simple. It takes five minutes to do and one minute to devour. Serve in bed on a tray with fresh coffee or tea, a small vase with a single rose and to the sound of hubby doing the housework.
