Fried food anyone?

Whats happening? Are you having an enjoyable Friday evening? Mine is going really well although not too healthy ;) Tonight, Josh and I drove up to the Myrtle Beach area to meet up with my Dad and Aunt and Uncle. My dad is in town visiting and was meeting with the builder who is building my parents to-be home! We went to a very southern style dinner tonight at a place called Carolina Ribs. We ordered a bundle of food and shared and it was all very fried! Not the healthiest of dinner buts I rarely eat like this! All I can say is I'm glad I'm teaching class tomorrow morning haha.

Me and my dad (not too sure whats going on with the lady in the background. Also- please notice OJ on the tv on the left):

Fried Zucchini (who fries zucchini???)

Tater chips

Chicken wings

I'm sure my stomach is in shock! What are you guys doing tomorrow? Like I said before, I'm teaching Body Step and may stay to take Body Pump. Other than that- food shopping and hopefully finishing off my Christmas shopping!!!!

Mmmmm.. LOL.
As much as that stuff is not so good for you, once in a while is okay in my books!

Hope you're having a great time in SC!

Tomorrow, I'll be celebrating my friend's 30th birthday. She's the first one from our small group of friends to turn 30, so it's kind of a big deal. :)

hmm.. just a question, but do you know if carl's jr. still offers fried zucchini? i think it was either carl's jr. or burger king or something (pretty sure it was the carl) that featured fried zucchini on its menu.. *sigh* the things they do to vegetables! :)

Oh my gosh, it's early on Saturday morning, and all that fried food made my stomach flip-flop :)

I live in the South (Nashville), and they will fry anything down here. So not good for you, but I LOVE fried green tomatoes!

My Saturday plans consist of working all morning. I do massage therapy and have to work a lot of Saturdays, but I'll be done by 1:30. So, not too bad. Then hoping to catch a movie later with my hubby. Enjoy your weekend!

That sounds fun! Did you feel weird after eating that? Sometimes when I go unhealthy I feel kind of drugged.
Pic of you and Dad is ADORABLE!
Today I'm...chillin.

your Dad looks so nice!!! the kind of person who's optimistic and nice to everyone under even the worst circumstances. hahaha.....

don't feel bad about the fries, sometimes it's okay to indulge a little bit, specially if you're having great time with your loved ones.

food shopping? my favorite!!! :)

Mmm ... fried zucchini and squash are great splurges!! In the warmer months, I often make oven "fried" zucchini for the huz + I ... very, very good with no guilt! :)

As for MB - love it! We have a condo there. Next time we head down, I will let you know and maybe we can meet up!

Cute picture! The fried zucchini looks wonderful. I would have been ill after for sure.

Have you noticed a difference in restaurant food in general healthiness between north and south?

My mom used to fry zucchini all the time, but without the breading! They were like zucchini chips!! I don't think my belly would be too happy with them anymore, though!!

I've never had fried zucchini, but it's mostly because I don't like zucchini. However, I think it is perfectly ok to partake in a dinner of fried foods every now and again :)

That reminds me of a bbq place in Portsmouth that has fried pickles...at first I thought that sounded disgusting, that was until I tried one! SO GOOD! Haha, yeah sometimes bad food happens but that's why we like to exercise so much :)

I used to make fried zuchinni all the time!! I had it about 18 years ago with my grandma- I make it healthy though just as delicious-
I use whole grain bread crumbs, nonfat yogurt binder and then "fry" it in olive oil or smart balance oil. SO GOOD !

I know what you mean...sometimes my nose tells me to eat fried food, then my tummy is SO MAD at me afterwards. :-) But you only live once, right?!
