Outside of that, the usual work, teaching, spending time with my loved ones.

Recently, I was contacted by Piggly Wiggly about their Local Since Forever Giveaway. Piggly Wiggly shares my love of locally sourced food. To celebrate, during the next two months, Pig shoppers will have the chance to win southern food favorites and grocery discounts when they shop. They'll also have the opportunity to win the grand prize of $20,000 and an additional $5,000 to donate to the local elementary, middle or high school of their choice. More details are available on their site: www.ThePigGiveaway.net.

You DO NOT need to have a blog to enter!! Good luck! The winner will be randomly selected and notified via email.

Speaking of local, I cannot wait for Charleston Restaurant Week!! We have reservations at Stars, Hanks & (of course) Grill 225. Any Charleston locals going to any of the restaurants that are participating?

Happy Thursday!!

Not part of the giveaway, but I just wanted to answer your other question about restaurant week! I just made a reservation at Graze for us while Greg's mom is in town next week. We went with a Groupon a few weeks ago and LOVED it!! Unfortunately we are going out of town this weekend and next so won't have much time to fit in anything else though.

Cool! We still haven't been to Graze! Their menu looks so interesting, but I'm afraid the husband won't be able to find anything he'd eat...

Aw, Baby K laughing is the best!! The Piggly Wiggly by me went out of business, so don't enter me in your giveaway - good luck to the winner though! (and hope this comment sticks!)

The Restaurant Week menu might be a little more tricky, but Greg had the carnitas tacos and loved them. And we (he) started with the Parmesan truffle fries which are always a winner!

Ever since writing the Farm Aid piece, I have a much deeper appreciation for local as opposed to organic. I still advocate organic, but buying and supporting local is SO SO important!

I swear she looks more like you every day! A lot of our good local spots here folded with the economy...it's a shame.
