M: Pumpkin Pie Pop Tarts and a CSN Stores Giveaway!

I would tell you how incredibly happy Christmas time makes me, but you might think I'm crazy. I even took an awesome picture of my favorite kitchen store, Coastal Cupboard, on Sunday because they had all of their Christmas goodies out and I just couldn't take it...it was waiting for a picture to be taken. Doesn't this just make you happy?

IMG_0580.JPG

Aaaand a new Christmas ornament for Mandi...

IMG_0598.JPG

Oh yea, there was a beer festival too...I know, awesome Sunday right? Reggae band and beer at Mellow Mushroom - can't get any better.

IMG_0587.JPG

Now let me tell you now about these pumpkin pie pop tarts from Joy the Baker. I have seen several people do these and they all have looked fabulous.

IMG_0562.JPG

I LOVE making homemade pastry, so I knew I had to try these bad boys out. No lie, these things are seriously addicting.

IMG_0563.JPG

Basically these little gems are like mini pumpkin pies and paired with the maple glaze..oh MAN..SO good. The glaze wasn't overpowering and the pumpkin filling smelled my entire kitchen of pumpkin and cinnamon goodness!

IMG_0567.JPG

I really want to try these with a strawberry filling or blueberry filling as well. So many possibilities!

IMG_0569.JPGIMG_0572.JPGIMG_0573.JPG

You must go get this recipe from Joy the Baker. It might be one of my Joy the Baker faves!

Now, lets move onto other things, like CSN Stores. This website has everything you need for your home - from patio furniture to kitchen appliances and everything in between. Their prices are great and they have free shipping on most of their products. It's seriously an on-line one-stop shop! I was lucky enough to receive a Cuisinart Automatic Burr Coffee Grinder (disclaimer: I received this product for free).

IMG_0600.jpg

Let me tell you, this is something my hubby and I have wanted for AGES. We are huge coffee drinkers - I seriously think hubs is more excited about this than I am! I'm not sure if you've ever had fresh ground coffee - when I say fresh ground, I mean FRESH GROUND. It really does make a difference. Our coffee has been extra fresh and the spices come through so much stronger! This grinder can also hold up to 1/2 lb of coffee in the top holder keeping it fresh. There are 18, count em, 18 different settings you can adjust your grind to and also set how many cups you want to brew at that particular time. Just grind and pour into your coffee filter! So easy and so fresh! mmmmmm, coffee...makes me want one right now...

IMG_0558.JPG

p.s. yes that is cinnamon sprinkled on top of my coffee and there is also a cookbook and flour behind my coffee mug.

So, would you like to make a stop at CSN Stores and buy up something for yourself? Awesome, because I can help you out with that!

You can win a $60 promotional code for an item of your choosing from CSN Stores! All you have to do is visit the CSN Stores website and leave a comment on this post telling us what you would like to purchase with your $60! (Open only to U.S. and Canada residents) You do NOT need to have a blog to enter! Entries must be received by Friday (Nov. 12) at 7:00am. The winner will be randomly selected and announced that day! As a side note, please do not post to CSN Stores Facebook page about this contest. All you need to do is comment here!

Happy entering!!!

Yes! I love Christmas too because it's also my birthday!!! :D I dunno, the red color really makes me happy!

Woo... you made Pumpkim pie pop tarts? they look fantastic! great job!

CSN store has the best selection of kitchen aids... i'd get so many things from them. To start, I need a blender... my old one is getting too old ;)

Topher said...

I'd love to be able to use it to get a couple new baking pans or to help pay for a kitchen aid mixer. Thanks!

wow...those homemade poptarts look amazing. I admit, my kids tried the kellogs pumpkin ones ( and I don't often let them have them because, well...poptarts...not so healthy) I will have to give these homemade ones a try...homemade is ALWAYS better for you than processed, even if it is indulgent foods, IMHO!

If I won the CSN code, I would get this http://www.csnstores.com/Cuisinart-HM-70-CUI1088.html?cv= Cuisinart Power Advantage 7-Speed Hand Mixer in White - HM-70
SKU #: CUI1088 I really need a new hand mixer, and I saw on America's Test Kitchen this one rated tops!!! got my fingers crossed!!!

I really need a waffle maker! I have been itching to get one for months, but it's just not in the budget right now. :(

JMM said...

I would totally put it towards a dutch/french oven. It is winter time up here and I really want to expand in my cooking and this would be perfect for some good filling comfort food for me and the boyfriend. I have been drying to buy one, but they just a little too pricey for me -- so that would be a big help.

PS.....I need those pumpkin pie pop tarts in my life.

OMG - those pumpkin pie bites look amazing (although - I think 75% of that has to do with the glaze/icing - I could eat that straight out of the bowl by itself!) :)
