Something I enjoy? Combining my love of fitness with raising money for a good cause! I am teaming with my friend Taylor over at Lifting Revolution (we met during the Charleston Half Marathon) to raise money for the Special Olympics! How are we doing this? We’re going to be running the Color Me Rad race in…our wedding dresses!

I realized once I had committed to this awesome cause..that I hadn’t put my wedding dress on in 5 1/2 years.. Luckily, it fit!
In other exciting news, my new releases arrived yesterday ! Wahooo! Now…learning time!
Tomorrow is my Mom’s birthday. I’m celebrating with her today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!

Wow-- will that ruin the dress?? I know it's for a good cause, and that's awesome of you-- I don't know if I could do it! It's funny, because I know I'll never wear the dress again (hopefully, ha)...but I guess I just have that sentimental attachment to it!
Definitely! It will 100% ruin the dress ;). I actually wore two dresses during my wedding day (one during the ceremony and one during the reception). I have always wanted to trash my dress though. I am going to save a snip of it for Kaylin.
Sounds like fun! Kudos to you for wearing your wedding dress. I don't think I could do that! Mind you, my dress has been tucked away for 15 yrs so I'm not sure why it would matter. LOL

Great idea! I ran a Color Me Rad race last fall, right before my wedding. I don;t think there was any chance of my running it in my wedding dress back then. Ha!

I love your attitude towards fitness. It's so easy to get sucked into the mindset of having to have a six pack or be perfect instead of having fun!
i soooo miss my les mils classes. i hurt my back a few months ago and haven't been able to go. hopefully i heal soon, i love it when the new launches come out. you look so cute in your wedding dress, i'm too scared to try mine on, who know if it would fit! the run looks like such a great cause! have a good weekend :)
What a fun race and a great idea to raise money too for a good cause. Last year we did a fundraiser when we ran the Tinkerbell Disney half marathon and it was really emotional to see the people who benefited from our raised money, they surprised us and came to our pre-race luncheon. I'll go check out the link now.
I don't think my wedding dress will fit past my knees right now...lol, with the big pregnant belly and all. Your wedding dress looks great on you and I hope I can wear mine again soon (just for fun and inside the house).
