M: Christmas Cookies Please?!

And we’re officially into the week o’ Christmas! I can’t wait until Saturday, we have some fun things planned! Do you have any special plans for the weekend?

Well, first things first, a big THANK YOU to Lauren from Healthy Delicious for my blogger baked goods! I got some butterscotch chip/coconut cookies and cranberry/orange scones!

Ok, I mentioned in my post yesterday that I had put together some fun goodie boxes for some friends at work. I wanted to let you in on the goodness that I put inside of them.

First of all, I love baking…we all know that…but I also love packaging and making a cute and nice presentation. I swear, if I ever own my own bakery, I will probably put as much effort into the to-go containers as the baking! Here again is the big package I made for a good friend of mine at work:

Then I put together these small goodie boxes for the fantastic people at my hubby’s work:

What is inside these bad boys you ask? Well, first off, the snickerdoodle recipe that I posted about yesterday.

Next, I made up some homemade pumpkin granola, the recipe I got from Maria at Two Peas and Their Pod. I have given this granola away before, and everyone LOVED it! So, I tied up little baggies with handfuls of granola with red and green ribbon. I thought it would be a healthier addition to all of the cookies.

Next up, the double chocolate mint chip cookies that Erica introduced me to, which originated from Renee at My Kitchen Adventures. I LOVE these cookies, and they go over so well at Christmastime. People at work devoured these things.

And last, but certainly not least, what might be my new favorite Christmas cookie, are the triple chocolate cranberry oatmeal cookies. This recipe I came across at Lovin from the Oven. This girl can really come up with amazing cookie recipes!

Dough pre-baked:

The finished product:

The only modification I made was using more dark chocolate chips and white chocolate chips and opted out of the milk chocolate chips because I’m not a huge milk chocolate fan. But, these turned out so good – I could’ve eaten the raw dough before it ever made it to the oven!

All together now

If you haven’t made any cookies yet, better get to it! You won’t find another time of year to have an excuse to bake cookies like a crazy person =)

Enjoy!

It's so nice that you take the time and effort to put such nice, homemade cookie plates together for friends/co-workers! I'm sure they appreciate it :) My mom and I used to bake lots of cookies for my teaches in elementary school - I always loved doing it.
