Happy December 1st!! Earlier this week, I showed you the chocolate chip cookies I made from the Tate’s Bake Shop Cookbook:
Well not only did the nice people at Tate’s Bake Shop send us their cookbook, they also sent us an awesome sampler pack of their cookies including oatmeal raisin, white chocolate macadamia nut, and chocolate chip(disclaimer: we received the cookies and cookbook for free):
Mandi and I were super excited to dive into the cookies. We each sampled all of the goods with the help of our hungry husbands:
First up, Oatmeal Raisin:
Erica: The oatmeal gives the cookie great texture, but it still packs a nice crunch.
Josh: These are good in milk, but I’m not a big raisin fan.
Next, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut:
Erica: I don’t typically like nuts in cookies, but these were pretty tasty. I always think of macadamia nut filled treats as heavy, but these cookies tasted sweet but light. This was my favorite of the bunch!
Josh: These are good in milk
Last up, Chocolate Chip:
Erica: I was AMAZED how closely these tasted to the batch I baked up earlier in the week (just a lot more crispy). Always a classic!
Josh: These are my favorite. They’re good in milk
And Mandi & Bryan’s take on the cookies: “We loved these little guys! We are usually more of the chewy, soft cookie type, but Bryan decided to dig into his cookies with a glass of milk and he said that made them even better. We both agreed that they'd also be good with a cup of tea or coffee. They are definitely buttery, crispy, thin cookies, meant to be paired with a cozy beverage. Our favorite was the oatmeal raisin =) And, can we please talk about how incredible the chocolate chunk cookies Erica made from the cookbook are? Um, yea. Go get these cookies!!”
Thank you so much Tate’s Bake Shop! Your cookies are awesome! Again, I think either the cookbook or some of their delicious treats would make a great gift for the holidays.

Yummy!!!!!!! I actually can't decide which cookie are my favorite: peanut butter, chocolate chip, or oatmeal raisin!!!! Hahahaha!
I'll probably have to go with chocolate chip, because my mom's recipe is AMAAAAZING!!!!!!!! Basically she uses the Toll house recipe, but swaps out the quatities for white and brown sugar, so the cookies have a more unique flavor.
I am now a fan on facebook, too!!!!
I became a fan on facebook. Those chocolate chip looks just like how many grandmother used to make.
For a holiday cookie -- I don't think anything can beat a nice homemade sugar cookie. It's like being a little kid again in every bite.
I love Josh's comments! So he likes milk with his cookies, huh? :-)
What a fun giveaway! Hmmm....when I think of my favorite Christmas cookie, I always go back to my grandma's sugar cookies (with icing)!

We lived right around the corner from Tate's up until our recent move in July! Their baked goods are fabulous! As for Christmas cookies, I love the simple little butter cookies.
hey beautiful ladies! my favorite holiday cookie is the red velvet chocolate chip variety because if just looks like Christmas, is southern (red velvet) and really easy but SOOOO yummy!
here's the Semi-homemade recipe:
1 box Red Velvet cake mix
2 eggs (or flax eggs)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup white chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350.
In an electric mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until a dough forms. Fold in chocolate chips. Roll into balls and bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
Makes about 24 cookies.

I have so many favorite Christmas cookies. If I had to choose, I suppose I'd narrow it down to your basic gingerbread cookie. I enjoy them in the classic gingerbread man shape or in a big ole gingersnap blob of goodness
i am a sucker of gingerbread men, but i wish they were chewier like ginger molasses cookies
Oooh great giveaway - my favorite holiday cookie is sugar cookies with green and red sprinkles :)
I love snickerdoodles, wait, that is not a Xmas cookie. I love making spritz cookies. Not the healthiest cookie, but yummy.
Amanda...What a fantastic idea!!!!
I think that I would have to say that my favorite Holiday Cookie Recipe is my mom's recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies. The Recipe is a Secret and She hasnt written it down or told me it yet and I am 20 yrs old.
I "liked" Tate's Bake Shop on Facebook!!
actually, my mom used to make those candy cane cookies you just made. they were definitely the kind i looked forward to most every year and, seeing them here, i have a sudden urge to make them myself.
