E: Newman’s Own Organics Giveaway

Couple quick things before I get to the giveaway:

1. How is it this cold in Charleston? Anyone else freezing their behind off?

2. Are you watching The Sing Off? Josh and I are HUGE a cappella fans and were super excited that NBC brought this show back for a second season.

Ok, so this giveaway is for the furry friends in our lives (CATS OR DOGS!!)! I try to be very careful about the kind of food I feed to Frank. After all, he is super active and needs healthy & delicious fuel….

frank 001

frank 003

Recently, I received an awesome package of Newman’s Own Organics dog food and treats (disclaimer: I received this treat box for free):

 frank 004

I love Newman’s Own Organics pet food because (as noted by the Newman’s Own Organics website) their new formulations are:

“a unique blend of proteins, whole grains, vitamins and minerals that maximize palatability, digestibility and nutrient assimilation. All Newman’s Own Organics pet foods are complete and balanced and formulated to exceed the nutrient requirements established by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) Nutrient Profiles.”

Frank couldn’t wait to break into his goodies. First, he tried the chicken & rice snack sticks.

 frank 006

and later enjoyed the Adult Dog Formula Premium Dog Food…

frank 005

mixed with turkey & chicken wet food:

 frank 007

This bowl of food disappeared QUICKLY:

 frank 008

  frank 010

and now, the nice people at Newman’s Own Organics are letting me send one of our readers a similar box of goodies! The rules:

  • Open US readers only
  • You DO NOT need to have a blog to enter
  • Leave a comment on this post telling me whether you have a dog or cat, what their name is, and something funny about them
  • Contest will be open until Friday, December 10 at noon

Good luck! How is your week going so far?

Awww, a giveaway for Sammy!!! He would LOVE to try the Newman's Own Dog products. So awesome that Newmans Own offers this line. We often overlook our furry friends but they are just as important too when it comes to a healthy diet.

my border collie, Doc, is amazing! he definitely has his own personality, loves to come inside every morning, sings to me, then lays by me in the kitchen while i make my oatmeal, then he snuggles with his toys in his bed while i catch up on blog world ;). what a fun Christmas present for him!!

This is great!! We have a puggle named Diddy. We named him Diddy for 2 reasons: (1) b/c we love P. Diddy and (2) so we could say "let's go pee diddy!" (get it?? hahaha)!

We have a dog named Lola. She is awesome! She takes all of the socks she finds and hides them upstairs in her little play area. Any time we can't find a pair of socks together, we always find a single sock upstairs.

I have a dog named Emma. She is a 20 pound Maltese...and she is supposed to max out at 7 pounds!

Found your blog through Jenetha's. I have 2 crazy cocker spaniels (both rescue dogs) and they are super pampered as in I even make them their own treats ;-)

Its cold here, too!!!!!
I don't have a pet in the US, and don't think that I can take animal food to South America with me, but here's a funny story about my cat:
whenever he hears my dad's car, he runs to the door and starts meowing because he loves my dad so much. Of course, he doesn't like my mom, and he hides underneath the table and waits for her to walk by so that he can bite her. Its a Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde situation.

I have a bully too, which I am pretty sure you know haha! Bubba is one of a kind, he will always hog the fireplace and won't share with anyone. If you scoot your way into the front of it, he gives you an awful, discusted look. He's a stubborn one--although I hope he didn't pick that up from me lol ;-)

I don't have a pet but I just wanted to say what a sweet giveaway this is! Hope you're having a great week, Erica!

A giveaway for the pets, I love it. I have a female German Sheppard named Selah who we rescued in 2002 and we're not sure of her exact age. She is a complete sweetie. Right now I'm listening to her snore as she tends to do for most of my workday.

My dog's name is Joe. He's half miniature Italian grey hound and half English shepherd. Joe loves the heat. When I lived at my parents house and the fire place would be going he would just lay there for hours. I don't know how he could handle it because when you touches him he was like burner hot. He just loves the heat and soaked it up with every opportunity he gets.

I have a sweet (? insecure) doggie named Smalls. He is a mix of a shitzu-yorkie-chihuahua. I love him to pieces! He loves being in my "cove" which is in between my legs and will actually scratch his way in if I don't have that spot ready for him.
'love the Sing-Off, too. I think they sound so "cool".

I have two dogs- Abner and Tucker and two cats- Marcus & Poco.

Poco could spend hours chasing his own tail around in a circle and tucker likes to bite at the snow and try to eat it all

Ashley said...

I have a dog named Sadie who would love this! One funny thing about her is that she is so sneaky. If she know she is not supposed to have something she will wait until no one is around to try and get it...just like a little kid.

Frank's face is way too cute! My dog (at home) is Rosie - she is getting old and her personality keeps getting more funny/weird! Sometimes she will ONLY eat if we throw the tiny pieces to her one by one...attention craving much?

Newman's own is one of my favorite companies. I LOVE everything about them!

I have 2 dogs. Solera is young and full of energy. He likes to stick his head under the couch and bark like crazy!
The Capster is an older dog who hates anything wet. If it's raining outside he will hold his "business" forever. If I spill a drop of water on the floor he will walk a big circle around it.

My dogs are very strange and they always make me laugh :)

As you know I have a pug mix named Petrie! She gets so excited when she is about to eat that she starts spinning around in circles, extremely fast, growling. Hilarious.

It is FREEZING! I am not ok with it either. Thank goodness we will see 60 degrees this weekend. My holiday party dresses will not work when its 30 outside.

So cold in ATL too. I was looking at the forecast for next week and for Monday the high is 26!

I have a golden retriever named Murphy and he likes to sleep on his back with his legs in the air or up against a wall. It's funny.

I always love it when you post pictures of Frank:)
My family has 6 dogs total, but I'll just tell you about one! My 16-year-old Jack Russell terrier (Fred) doesn't quite understand what's going on when I do ab exercises on the floor. Somehow, he always ends up on top on my stomach, mid-sit-up.

great giveaway -I love their products and had no idea there was stuff for pets (no animals here though)

Eek! I have a cat who would LOVE this! :) His name is Dewey, I would love to sample their kitty products!

I totally agree about the Charleston weather!! I just moved here a few month ago and I never expected it to get this cold. Good thing is that I think it supposed to warm up a little bit soon.

My cat's name is Daisy, she got her name because her spots make her look just like a cow and for some reason I decided Daisy is a good cow name haha.

i have a dog named dobby - he is my best buddy...

thanks for the heads up on the giveaway :) i have a bunch of unread posts of yours in my reader and i refuse to mark them as read! i will probably be able to catch up tomorrow or friday.

i love frankkkk! i love these photos! newman's own is a great brand. we buy their pb treats.

my entry!

penny is pup #1 and a funny thing she does is the nose nudge. if you are petting her and you stop, she nudges your hand so you start again. she is quite needy!

randy is pup #2 and if you leave him in the car and go in the store, he hops in the driver seat and stands on the horn until you come back. he is CLEVER! it always gets a rise out of people when i am at sbux or the gas station. when i go to places like target, i can't take him because he would stand on the horn for 20 straight minutes!

love you lady!

Cody, my little maltepoo, has seemed to master the art of completely dominating my queen-sized bed! I wake up every morning snuggled up in the edge of the bed holding on for dear life while he's sprawled out in the center! Gotta love him. Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway, Erica!

FUN GIVEAWAY!! We have our dog, Bromley, he is a Shih-Tzu mix :) He is at doggy day care today for the first time and they sent the funniest picture of him, looks like he's mid air haha! He's also funny when he tries to run on the hardwood floor and just slips around.

It is FREEZING here, too! It was 24 when I got off work late last night, and I was so lucky to have Ari surprise me with the car so I didn't have to walk home in the frigid wind.

Thanks so much for this giveaway! Now that my puppy is on the mend, I know he'd love to try this out.
