Quick Din Din, Sicky Josh

Hi folks, how we doing today? I'm doing well! Unfortunately, Josh is not doing so well. We both headed to work at our usual early hour. After being at work for about 15 minutes, I received a call from a very sick Josh. I took him to the doctors and he has very bad bronchitis. fever, constant coughing, sneezing, runny nose. I brought him home and finished my day working from home while Josh slept.

I ran out later and taught Body Attack. Class went so well! I feel like I am really getting the hang of teaching this class! On my way home, I picked up Josh's prescriptions and got him a special treat...a chocolate malt milkshake from Sonic.


I also made him up some delicious healthy soup......or condensed soup full of salt (just what the doctor ordered):


I also made both of us a grilled cheese using an upside down arnolds thin. I served the grilled cheese with pickles and carrots.

I also had a piece of whole wheat homemade bread with a little dark chocolate dream PB (no pic- so yummy it disappeared quick ;)).

    Soup and grilled cheese is my favorite sickie combo. Cool milkshakes are always good for a sore throat too! Hope Josh is feeling better!

    I hope he starts feeling better soon. I'm sure the malt helped. Those are amazing, one of my favorite ice cream splurges!

    Grilled cheese isn't one of my
    most favorite things...but you somehow made that grilled cheese look oh so delicious. Like for real. You foodies and your ways of making things look totally tempting! It's a true art!

    Hope your hubby gets to feeling back to himself in no time. He's in good hands!

    Oh, poor Josh! Hope you don't catch it too... but there's nothing like sharing a sickness to bring people closer (have you seen that episode of Sex & the City where Charlotte and Harry both have stomach bug?).

    Oh no! Bronchitis is definitely not fun. My dad gets it a lot - I am so sorry :o( I hope Josh feels better soon! Milkshakes will definitely help!

    Oh, I hope Josh feels better soon! That sounds so bad...but, YUM, a Sonic milkshake would definitely help me feel better. :-)

    What a great idea to use the sandwich thin upside down (duh Holly). I haven't had a grilled cheese in...well, I don't know how long!

    the pic of the sonic cup just confirmed something me and my BF have been wondering FOR-EVER. we see those commercials all the time and never knew if it was a real place!!

    So sorry Josh is sick. :( You're a sweet wife. Sonic malts are so good, but I LOVE their diet cherry limeades with all those yummy little ice-cubes.

    I hope Josh is feeling better! I'm so jealous that you live near a Sonic. I grew up with a Sonic close by, but it would take a couple of hours for me to get to one now.

    Of course... that might be a good thing after all... :-)
