This is when your glycogen stores are depleted. I personally find that gatorade or other cho-rich drinks are better absorbed than the goos, bars, etc b/c they have other macronutrients that slow down the digestion and do not allow for proper hydration unless you take the proper amount of water with it. Like if I ran 10, I might take them around mile 6. Or if I did 13, I might take them around mile 7. You just want to take them BEFORE you crash!<br /><br />Surprisingly I've never had chafing problems...but I've heard Body Glide is good? I take one ever 45 minutes or so. <br /><br />Chaffing, definitely Body Glide! Helps so much. I try to take one before I think I need it though (around mile 6 or 7), that way, it kicks in right when I need it. I think that is key, not to wait until your energy runs out, but rather before, so that way, you never let yourself drop too low. <br /><br />Great lunch.
